Hideous business - AVOID
Appalling business which seems to specialise in nothing but sharp practice. I had made binding arrangements to keep my boat there over the winter season, for storage in its own cradle. Despite written confirmation of this, and being told immediately in advance of bringing the cradle to them that this was fine, I arrived only to be told in appalling blunt terms by the foreman that he had spontaneously decided that he wasn't willing to proceed on the agreed basis and that I would instead have to pay for the privilege of using one of their own cradles. The supposed reasoning behind this being that the foreman had taken too long recently to put another yacht in its own cradle therefore seemingly decided he couldn't be bothered to put in the work to uphold the yard's side of the agreement with me.
Aside from the total about-face decision at the 11th hour which caused me no end of administrative issues lining up another yard, their attitude to dealing with a customer who was entirely blameless in the situation was dire. Rude, self-interested and intentionally unhelpful are terms that wouldn't even get close to describing their 'service'.
Given how consistently they lied to me despite me whilst I was acting in nothing but good faith, it's fair to assume that any response to this review will also be laden with lies.
Avoid doing business with this woeful outfit at all costs.
