The moment I spoke with Sonia Jutla at DC Law I knew everything was going to run smoothly, very professional and quick to reply to any enquiries and giving clear advice, I cannot fault her and would recomend DC Law and if all their staff are as good as Sonia Jutla then you'll do fine.

Absolute honking service. Don’t reply to emails. Sends calls to voicemail. No response. Takes months and months and still no progress. Joke of a company.

Sonia was helpful throughout the whole experience our chain broke down twice but we were kept informed all the time it has now gone through third time lucky and we complete very soon, thank you for all your help with the selling of our parents house.

We had no choice but to use DC Law, but based on our experience, I would strongly advise others to consider alternative conveyancing solicitors.

We originally sold our house in May 2025, but the sale was not completed until much later, which we believe was largely due to DC Law’s lack of communication and professionalism. Our first buyer pulled out in December 2025, and we believe the delays and poor communication from DC Law contributed significantly to this decision.

We subsequently sold the property again earlier this year, accepting a £15,000 loss. Even then, we came very close to losing our second buyer, as their solicitors were also experiencing difficulties obtaining information from DC Law.

The person handling our case was extremely disappointing. We were chased for signed documents that had not even been sent to us, emails frequently took several days to receive a response, and on some occasions, we received no response at all. The overall lack of communication and organisation made an already stressful process considerably worse.

Our experience with the manager was equally disappointing. We found their manner rude, and we have serious concerns about how our personal information was handled. We intend to raise these concerns through the appropriate data protection channels.

I also submitted a formal complaint to DC Law’s complaints department. Unfortunately, I did not feel that my concerns were given the consideration they deserved, although we did eventually receive a £300 reduction in fees.

Selling a property is stressful enough without having to constantly chase your own solicitors for updates and information. The delays, poor communication and lack of professionalism we experienced were extremely frustrating and, in our view, contributed to a very difficult and costly process.

Based on our personal experience, I would not recommend DC Law. I would strongly encourage anyone considering using them to look elsewhere.

All this backed up by a legal team that answer the phones promptly (which is very rare these days!) and actually help and guide you through the process. Our conveyancer Howard Davies was brilliant.

Rachel Sharif the conveyance solicitor that dealt with us and the sale of our complicated sale demonstrated her Professionalism and knowledge during all dealings. A housing association created delays and stressful dealings and Rachel explained what was happening in plain language without the legal jargon as neither of us had sold a property previously. There were the odd occasions during which more personal communication would have enabled less stressful times following a bereavement however.

I found it was a really streamlined and friendly service with all documentation contained in an app that I found easy to use and intuitive. Alexandra was my case handler and I found her to be excellent from day one to completion.

Rachel was great our emails and questions were answered quickly and the process was fairly simple from start to finish.
