I purchased a pair of sandals for my 12 year old to wear for our Eid Celebration, Unfortunately we never received them , The package states it was delivered via FedEx , I was home waiting on the package, there was knock on the door , clearly the package was just let on the porch. Due to this I never received it , I got a email 2 hours after the package was delivered saying it was delivered. When I contacted Dillard there was no compassion, It was like yeah your claim was denied due to the fact that a picture was left showing the item was left outside.I feel as tho this is very wrong , I’m just out of the shoes and the $200 I spent on them , What’s even crazier is I was hesitant about shopping here and I did it just to make my child happy and I still wasn’t able to do that , I’m very upset and I will never spend my money with Dillards ever again.

Worst experience with returns. Do not shop at Dillard’s. Nordstrom is where to go.
Unable to send return due to surgery
In hospital for face cancer surgery. Unable to return new sweater with tags still attached within their 30 day from order date policy. Not good customer service at all. Sometimes there should be exceptions as medical issues can arise. Will not be shopping on Dillard’s and will recommend the same for my family and friends. Best to shop Macy’s or Nordstrom for excellent customer service.

Three calls, promises of resolution, nothing. Run around, word not kept, email for confirmation of refund never sent. Every time told package in transit, delivery tomorrow, tomorrow..... Now give it till Monday! Tired of waiting, watching for package, calling and calling. Being courteous doesn't get you anywhere but given the run around by these people. I'm done with buying from Dillard's

Nice store but terrible customer service just now. I've always viewed Dillard's as a high-end store. I live in Pennsylvania and there are no stores here but I've heard other people including my cousins talk about it so I figured I'd try. I placed an order online and it's been two + days and nothing has happened, as well as I received an email that said it was still in my account available for purchase so I thought I'd call.
I simply wanted to talk to somebody about it and all the person could do was go through this lengthy script-driven verification process and wouldn't even find out why I was calling. Then she gave me wrong information and when I tried to explain that the information was wrong she became annoyed and repeated something over rather than simply talk to me like a human being. Honestly was one of the worst customer experiences I've had and I expected way more from Dillard's. Somebody needs to figure that out.
First of all she said I made the purchase, "yesterday the 4th." Yesterday was the 5th so they were wrong and I explained that I didn't make it yesterday (today is Saturday and I actually made the purchase Wednesday morning). She next repeated that it takes "24 to 48 hours" and I asked aren't we beyond the 48 hours? Rather than just acknowledge that she made a mistake, it was, "As I said...[repeat script...] with an annoyed tone. Absolutely zero concern for me as a customer or what I had to say. The lady did not sound very bright, so I get that but even still don't be a computer. Show that you have some ability to talk and listen especially when you're representing Dillard's. My opinion of them has just dramatically been changed.
Shipping charges are exorbitant
Shipping charges are exorbitant. Paid $9.95 shipping fee on an $89 dollar item. It didn't fit. They charged another $9.95 to return it. So, I paid almost $20 on an $89 dollar item that I didn't keep. That's over 20% of the cost of the item.
We all know that their shipping charges are actually much less. Most companies will charge only one way. I won't buy from them again.

I purchased a $450 Nuna car seat for Christmas on 12/5. The box is unopened and seat is unused. The same seat (color and model) is now on sale for $50 less. I called to ask about a credit and was told that I will need to haul the 40 lb box to the mall 2 days before Christmas to “return” it and then repurchase the same box at the new price. It’s incomprehensible why I couldn’t just get a credit (or even store credit) for $50 versus spending 2 hours RT to fake return something that I then just repurchase. Ultimately $50 isn’t worth the time or hassle (mall is sure to be a zoo today) but it’s a real testament to the company’s non-customer centric policies.
Very knowledgeable and helpful
Yolanda in the Lingerie department at Sooner Mall took a lot of time and effort to help me find what I needed. She is very knowledgeable about fitting and explaining how something should fit. She also listened to my preferences to find what I wanted. She did an excellent job, and I would recommend going there for great recommendations and choices.
Do not order from Dillard's!
Do not order from Dillard's! I was charged $10.50 for shipping as well as $9.99 for a label that was already in my package, yet was told that I was charged a printing fee for the label. How hideous! Trust me Nordstrom, Saks nor Macys does not have such terrible policies. I understand one or the other but to be charged $20 because I had to return merchandise is ridiculous. I will never give them my business again and will tell all of my family and friends not to waste their hard earned money by shopping their website!

I will NEVER purchase from Dillards…
I will NEVER purchase from Dillards again. I was going to a wedding and purchased 3 dresses to try on (since I am in MA) and returned one of them. I returned them within 30 days of receipt, but I received the package back stating that the 30 days starts when they ship out the package - not when I received it (which was 5 days later). I am now out over $120 and have a brand new dress I will never wear. I will NEVER shop there again and will spread the word on every social media place I can along with friends.
I was traveling
I was traveling, had a layover in Florida, and went to Dillard and ordered BIRKENSTOCK $160 pair. Dillard sent me the wrong size. I called the customer service number and was sent a return label; however since I travel a lot, I wasn't able to send it right away. It passed the 30 days once I sent it back. They returned the shoes I returned with a note that stated I passed the 30-day return. They should exchange them since it was Dillard's error.

I was shopping in your store Wednesday , October 4th, at approximately 5. Started in shoe department, the young man working was polite and very helpful. Walked over to purses, I stood at counter to scan for $ and purchase. The young lady ignored me … continued looking/ scanning merchandise??. Had to go back to shoes for help! As I returned to purses/ with polite shoe guy, l she called out, rudely and “only marked item are on sale!” … why couldn’t she have help me, isn’t that her job….what happened to customer service. I’ll buy it somewhere else, on sale or not.

No matter what happens to your items dillards will not help you out. It’s unfortunate that you pay money to the company and they won’t do anything to resolve the matter. Because they deem themselves not liable for anything

30 day return police
I am very disappointed in their return policy. You are the only retailer that requires you to "receive" the return within 30 days of order. Most all other retailers give you 30 days to get it to the post office from day of receipt. I order on line every week and will never order again because of you bouncing my return for being a couple days late. Bad customer service. I will continue to shop at Macy's, Chicos, Soft Surroundings, Eddie Bauer, JJill and Amazon.

9 days past my 30 day return limit. It was a $60 decorative throw pillow that I bought from a floor display that I changed my mind on. The floor manager refused to give store credit. Said it could be unsanitary. Said that i wasn’t at Walmart. Very rude and disrespectful. Eventually another manager accepted the return for store credit. If I had a Dillards charge card I would have had 90 days to return. There is a penalty for using Visa credit card.
