Evans Halshaw - Ford Batley Avis 

Absolutely dreadful customer experience when trying to buy a car from their Batley branch. I paid £99 to reserve a car that i intended to buy that was disrupted for collection due to Storm Arwen closing all motorways so I was unable to travel, I asked to re-arrange until three days after when the storm would calm which they refused. I chased up today and it turned out they added another £1500 to their asking price. They did not care about my customer experience, there was no aftercare either. The car isn’t even worth their new asking price and I will never use them again. The worst experience I have ever had and I work in a customer service background. DO NOT USE!

M.O.T health check up dated sat nav and washed the car. All for £40. Exceiient service. Allso collected the car an brought it back.

Bradford RD, Batley, used car dept

Bought a 61plate in Jan 2019. They had used "Duct tape" directly on the front headlight bulbs to straighten them after it failed MOT for light misalignment. Of course the heat melted the tape, dropping the bulb and making a huge mess, melting all the area it was held. It was not till last month when checking previous MOTs online that i got proof it was done at Ford Batley. Not spoken to them about it, and do not want to.
Please do your research before buying from these, check previous MOTs and ask what work has been done.
I didnt, and it cost me a new set of headlights and 2 headlight alignments.

Nice people that actually listen to your requirements and act upon them .I would even go so far as to say how many main stream garages are you allowed to speak to the tech guy that is going to service / repaire your vehicle .(not many)

No customer service at all. Not felt valued as a customer from nearly 9 years. Paying a lot of money monthly for a basic car with no service plan (as I discovered yesterday when I had to pay £245 for a service or no car would be returned to me! Leaving me with no money until the next payday!). Can't wait to get ready of this contract and be free from this scam.

Motability customer. We never even have to visit the dealership. They pick up the car and return it a few hrs later.

Awful service from start to finish. We bought a car and part exchanged our old car. When the new car was bought, it had damage which we asked to be sorted before we signed. The Head of Business came over and became rude, aggressive and very abrupt, so much so that we told him he was and that if he continued he would lose the salesman his sale. He walked away but came back to have another go. Eventually told him to ‘do one’ and the staff laughed and said “oh, he is always like that”.
Part of the agreement to part exchanged our car was that we would have some money to come back to us and some to go toward the new cars deposit. Car was paid but we had to chase for 2 weeks to get our money. We were told it would be 3 working days. 9 working days and several arguments later, we receive the money. After speaking to the Team Leader his reply was, “you have got your money now so don’t know why you are complaining”. Lastly the agreement meant that Evans Halshaw paid the outstanding finance on our old car. One month after the sale, we were charged the monthly repayment of our old finance as Evans Halshaw had not paid it. So as it stands, we are paying for two cars. Worryingly, they have sold my old car which does have outstanding finance on there! After complaining, the Team Leader contacted my missus and said they have done nothing wrong, we are moaners and Evans Halshaw have done what they should. No apology, no nothing.
I could write much, much more but hopefully the above will go some way to prove that these are not a good company to spend your hard earned cash.

Good job from Evans Halshaw. Excellent work thanks on my car. It needed the wiper washer sorting. Communication from the service department was excellent and efficient. Also gave me a replacement car while mine was being repaired. Thanks again.

I was recently in a dilemma with my car which had a flat battery, but I needed to get it to Evans Halshaw in Batley for the MOT which had lapsed while I was abroad. I had breakdown cover with them and they took care of everything for me.

Very impressed with John Moore, very polite, not pushy, informative made us feel relaxed.

Not complaining just a little inconvenience at the time.
