Everyone Active - Hatch End Swimming Pool Avis 13

Absolutely horrendous services! The toilets and showers looks like they need a good industrial clean. The changing rooms smell of urine. You would just want to cover up your nose and run away.

However, the major issue is that the showers do not work. I have complained to the management multiple times but it’s become a norm. They behave like it’s normal. I have to take 3 kids home every week to shower them wrapped up in towels. The showers haven’t been working since November last year. It has now been 3 months.

I had to bring the kids back again in this weather without showering them.

Can someone please look into this issue and resolve it.

Small, friendly, both staff and water are warm

Hatch End Swimming Pool used to have potential, but it has become a frustrating and poorly managed place. Every visit feels chaotic. Classes are far too crowded, with so many children squeezed into each session that it’s impossible for anyone to get proper attention or make progress. The pool area is noisy and disorganised, and staff often appear distracted rather than focused on the lessons taking place.

One of the biggest issues is the reception. It’s rarely staffed properly, and every few minutes the receptionists wander back to the pool to chat with the instructors instead of staying at the desk to help customers. It gives the impression that no one is actually in charge. The manager seems disengaged, and the lack of structure shows throughout the facility.

Many of the swimming teachers are European, which in itself isn’t a problem, but their strong accents often make it hard for the younger children to understand instructions clearly. This adds to the confusion in lessons that are already overcrowded and noisy.

Cleanliness is another serious concern. The changing rooms have an unpleasant smell, the floors are wet and slippery, and it doesn’t look like a proper deep clean has been carried out for a long time. The showers also don’t work as they should, with poor water pressure and occasional cold water. The whole area feels neglected and unkept.

Parking is another headache, as spaces are limited and the car park is often full, adding to the overall inconvenience.

What could be a great community swimming pool has turned into a disappointing experience due to weak management, poor organisation, and a lack of care. With proper supervision, regular cleaning, and more professional behaviour from staff, it could easily improve but for now, it’s far from the standard you would expect.

So, lane swimming - this is pretty good in the mornings apart from the odd person that decides they should go in the fast lane that absolutely shouldn't be there and causing a queue with the fast swimmers. I don't find it too cold, water pretty clear, some sand in the bottom.

Family swim - tried, and possibly they could do with allowing less people as it was busy particularly in the shallows and once floats added. Kids enjoyed it, floats added but we got out immediately when my husband saw some toddler projectile vomit in the pool and parent didn't tell staff. I certainly did and my husband saw staff trying to scoop it up and putting it down the drain on the poolside. Grosse, feel that should have been disposed of better than that but don't know their protocol for incidents like that. Ultimately, that did it for us - out of the pool. Hopefully just a bit of water causing them to be sick but we weren't chancing it and got out. If this incident hadn't happened for a local pool it would have been 4 star.

Facilities - showers seem pretty good, warm, decent water spray, get lockers, great to have a local pool.

Website said it is open today until 10pm. I rang the number 3 times - Morning, afternoon & evening & the message said they were busy so couldnt answer the phone.
So I went to Hatch End swimming pool to find it was closed.
Simple solution
Pls update website to say it is closed.
Pls update tel message to say it us closed rather than it is busy which is miskeading.
Hope this is done for next bank holiday.

Going swimming to Hatch End pool is always an enjoyable, calming relaxing experience. The car park is small but I have always been able to park there.
The Everyone Active staff are always very friendly, extremely helpful and are excellent lifeguards.
The changing rooms are easy to access, clean, and the whole experience is most theraputic.

I went to the Aqua Zumba class at Hatch End swimming pool. It was great fun, fast passed and a really good workout.

I really enjoy aquafit classes here. No bells and whistles, smaller pool but friendly staff and easy facilities (including parking nearby).

Hatch End Pool is a small, friendly, non-threatening place to exercise at - the staff are friendly and welcoming and the pool is warm. You are not confined to roped off lanes and it is easy to make friends there. I go to Aqua Friday each week -we do aerobic exercises to music with a friendly, cheerful teacher in a relaxed and fun way. Because I enjoy going there, I go regularly and have therefore improved my health and fitness beyond what I thought was possible. It has greatly improved my strength, built my muscles, increased my stamina and transformed my posture and figure.

Haven’t been to Aqua Aerobics for a while due to Covid concerns. Decided to go last Friday and was so glad I did. The lady gave us a good work out that anyone would be able to manage. Definitely going back and hopefully bring some friends too.
