Firstrade Avis 

I deposited money to my Firstrade account. When I tried to withdraw my money they refused to allow me to withdraw! I called and they refused to allow me to withdraw. I asked to speak with the manager but they refused to allow me to speak with the manager.

I have an account here for 2 years. They locked my trading and I cannot transfer my money out. I called them everyday for two weeks. The customer services never know what happens and how to help me out, one of the guy is even really rude and takes it is not of his business. So bad. and I tried talk to the manager, the manager never answered. Avoid this company if you want your money safe. I am still be locked for my account for no reason. If there is a zero rating, I am sure going to give them a zero, ridiculous.

Tried depositing from 2 different banks. Every time it fails and I lose money. Last time the transaction got lost and I didnt get any helpful answer from them. Very poor suppprt they reply with silly answers after a week. This service is just a big scam. I never recommend anyone to use it. Stay away from it!

Cannot fund my account. Contact customer service 5 days ago and still waiting... already considering closing my account all together.

Zero response time to emails and almost impossible to reach a customer service rep.

Firstrade offered free trades at a time when other brokers were charging about $5 per trade. Back then I would put up with long phone wait times to get free trades. But now every broker offers free trades, and Firstrade's service has gone down, not up. Twice today I waited on the phone for over 30 minutes, only to have the system hang up on me. Not good when you have a problem that needs a human solution.

Don’t expect any customer service. No one bothers to provide any assistance. Representatives decided what/who to respond. They don’t reply any emails weeks after they were sent.

Avoid funding the account if you already have signed up or you risk freezing your assets for 2 weeks before they can be transferred to another broker.

Unprofessional!

Love this company. I love their referral program too! I've referred a lot of my friends to the company also!

Update: 10/7: Still trying to get the funds out of and close my account. Have been calling daily with an average hold time of 20+ mins.
Good luck getting your money back from these people. Would probably be easier getting money away from a Pitbull.

This is the most controlling, dictatorial company I have ever dealt with. When I opened my account, all I had to do was provide my bank account number to deposit money into my Firstrade account. It got verified. No problem. But after some time, when I wanted to withdraw from my FT account, I had to send them an email explaining why I wanted to make a withdrawal. I had to get permission from THEM to get MY money! I also had to provide a copy of my drivers license. It took almost a month for me to get access to my own funds.

About a year later I tried to make another withdrawal. They turned off ACH. This time I had to send a copy of my ID and a bank statement. That's it! I'm done! Sent the request to just transfer all funds out of my FT account and close the account effective immediately. This is what I get for using a CCP firm. Never again. I'll pay a little more for better service with an American firm.

I signed up 2 weeks ago, but having a problem connecting bank account with major institution.
In addition, I had a problem with employment verification, and it took 45 minutes via phone to get help. That was resolved, but now I can't fund my account. I sent an email 2 days ago, but still waiting for response. That being said, I have not used the trading platform yet, but if I have a problem, I'm assured a very long wait time. Maybe the delay in funding will give me some time to research the competition a bit more.

Like this website a lot in this company a lot are use it quite often very happy with their professionalism..

Provided customer background, identity check, more than enough financial assets, lots of experience. Financial economist profession. Have never been denied brokerage in half century of investing. Was denied opening account, in e-mail that also wanted to know if I were related to named powerful public officials. No denial reason given even on written request. Something very wrong here, stay away from.

I really enjoy using Firstrade. Especially I didn’t encounter any app down time during trading in these days while I heard my friends did experience app down when using other broker’s platform to trade. What else I can say, I love Firstrade!
