First Rate Exchange Services Avis 7

Do NOT use this company! Very poor exchange rate and far less currency received than we should have done. They say they are linked to the Post Office online but they are not. Be very careful.

After careful investigation I can confirm this business is a shell company used to stop or divert complaints to its partnership companies, please tag them on x we are collating enough evidence against its partners

This company is being used by scammers to launder stolen money. I nearly got caught. I have a copy of the account to which the money must be transferred but cannot attach it to this review.

I am surprised that John Lewis use this firm for their travel money. Very disappointed buy travel money from John Lewis to find that this firm sent nearly the whole order in €50 notes.

Recently discovered that the post office use first rate exchange services. Recently went to buy some US dollars from post office after checking online rate of 1.2223. I expected the rate to be bit lower but was given 1.14 which is the lowest rate anywhere for dollars,but nowhere else for me to go at short notice and rate wasn’t advertised clearly in post office. Tried to raise a complaint and just got a standard reply that it was up to me to check but no explanation where the rate of 1.14 is justified. Total rip off

I was guaranteed delivery of £1000 worth of foreign currency by 13:00 on Tuesday 29th November and 2 days later I am still waiting - they 'hope' it will be delivered tomorrow. I have had to rearrange my flights to delay take off and lost 2 nights hotel stay and had to take a days holiday on 30th when they said it might be delivered. Spent almost 2 HOURS on the telephone trying to resolve the issue. BE WARNED, NEVER USE,

Disgraceful service
DD NOT USE. If you want your money fast
Supposed to be a 2 hr collection service
Was told it would be next day
Next day they said it hadn’t arrived and was been sent by special courier to local post office for next day collection
Went next day / they said it had been sent to a different post office by mistake / they had realised and forwarded it on
When asked where to
They said they didn’t know ?
Asked for my money back to get some currency from elsewhere and they said it would take 3 days to send the refund ( we now travelled next day )
I had to borrow some money and go to the local TUI shop to get some currency
Still waiting for refund from post office
No doubt there will be ZERO. Compensation for the disgraceful service and THEFT. Of our money on top of all the stress caused
Will never use post office again
