It Sucks now.
They killed off their own website with blatant, lazy incompetence. It was great as recipezaar, but ever since it's been owned by Food.com it's been a burning train wreck that keeps getting worse and they have only themselves to blame.

Mediocre, going down
This website has gone through several ownerhips and iterations. This current one is, alas, mediocre. The site got rid of the forums, which were its shining crown. No one monitors for duplicate recipes, they have proliferated. The search function is crap - they should use a google search for the site. When you contact help, you get a canned response that your inquiry has been referred to the Team, but the team never ever responds. If you post your photo to the wrong recipe, it's impossible to get it removed, even though I know they can - in the past I reported inappropriate (i.e. obscene) photos to them and they are gone. Today site indicates that no new recipes posted since 12/17 - highly unlikely, but food.com has not bothered to release them. So I have little confidence in the management of the site. Still, it does have a wealth of recipes, and the contributions from members outside the US are particularly welcome and valuable.
Update 8/1/2022: So as of a few days ago, I can no longer log in and post. It shows I am logged in, my avatar is there, but I cannot post. I have been a member for 20 years. I have sent two requests for help, but have not received an acknowledgement that they received them - you used to get a food.com ticket. Several other people I know have experienced the same - they also have had no assistance from the site. It's very disappointing, as this used to be a great site.
04/30/23: Further deterioration. You cannot edit your own recipes to correct any errors. More people are saying (on other sites) that they cannot login, not even partially, or that their names have been changed. Questions are repeated multiple times, forcing you to go through multiple screens to see if your question might have been answered already. As reported earlier, there is no response of any type when you use their Help function. I don't understand what the current owners think they are achieving.
