I was part of a ceramic decorating…
I was part of a ceramic decorating class for my best friends hen do last weekend in Newcastle and had such an amazing time. I'd absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking for fun activities and I'm hoping to get the chance to try out some of the other activities on offer myself soon. Our host was absolutely lovely and made everyone feel so welcome and made sure we all had a great time. Most importantly the bride had a fab time!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. HORRENDOUS
If I could score this a minus I would! Life drawing booked for a hen party and it turned into a complete and utter disgrace.
The venue was changed without a single word of prior warning before changing, downgraded from a perfectly decent location to a freezing, run down box room above an old pub. No courtesy, no professionalism, just a switch and hope we wouldn’t question it.
It gets worse. They sent the wrong model. The female model and the artist then walked out in front of the bride and the entire party, bluntly announcing, “You didn’t book a female so we’ll go.” We were left standing there in stunned silence with no explanation, no apology and an out of hours call handler who had absolutely no idea what to do. It was that bad the bride thought it was a genuine joke, as you do, but instead, we then had to tell the bride that Funktion Events had completely messed up (and lied) and that we had no plan. No activity. No backup. Nothing. On her hen party!
We were told the venue had been changed because “all the other parties” were at the new location aswell. That was a total lie. There were no other parties. While we scrambled to try and salvage what was supposed to be a once in a lifetime celebration, we were dealing with incompetence, dishonesty and complete indifference.
The day was ruined. You don’t get that back. A formal complaint requesting a refund and compensation was met with denial, refusal and a curt, insincere apology that took no accountability whatsoever. This isn’t an exaggeration, there are emails to back up every detail of this review.
This was chaotic, utterly unprofessional and shockingly dishonest from start to finish. Absolutely appalling service. Avoid at all costs. Should be ashamed

When issues occur with an activity, our priority is to review the situation and resolve matters fairly for the group. In this case, the booking was investigated and a full refund was issued following the complaint.
We run thousands of hen party activities each year and take situations like this seriously. Feedback is reviewed with our venues and suppliers so we can improve processes and reduce the risk of similar issues happening again.
We understand how important these occasions are and regret that this experience did not meet expectations.
