Bait and Switch
I setup a purchase online through the website because I heard Gerhard's was such a good place to buy appliances. I paid for it and received an email confirming the purchase, very easy process. I received a call in less than an hour to setup delivery. That was a very easy process too an delivery was going to be quick. I received a call 10 minutes later stating that the washing machine I purchased was already sold and they had other washing machines available. What? That is called a bait and switch in the business world. The person I was working with sounded like she didn't give a s**t and told me that it should have been marked sold and she was going to talk to that employee about this. I should have been offered a comparable washing machine at the original purchase price.
I purchased a dishwasher on March 2
I purchased a dishwasher on March 2. Was informed the door panel color I wanted was not in stock but would be in the following week. Finally got delivery on March 31. After installation, which I had paid extra for, I had to point out to the installer that he’d left part of the insulation sticking out from under the base plate so he corrected this.
After he left we found that the moisture barrier strips had not been inserted.
I called the delivery center and was told that they would schedule someone to come out the following week. When they let me know the day I said that I had a prior appointment and would not be home until 1:00 pm. They said it would probably be later but then today their updated information got earlier and so I eventually canceled my appointment. When the installers came I had to show them the instructions in Spanish as they appeared not to know what to do. They said I would have to pay extra for the uninstallation which I refused. Eventually their supervisor said it would be taken care of by the company.
Very disappointing as our previous experience with the company had been great. Will definitely not use them again. Plenty of other small businesses to use in this area!

I would NOT recommend buying anything from Gerhards, their customer service is horrible, had a defective fridge delivered by them 2 months ago, had to contact Whirlpool after Gerhard's wanted to fix them but could not. Two months later still not resloved, had to get their dir of sales involved now he is ignoring the situation. Had this happen 10 yrs ago with Lowes and they just replaced the defective applic no questions asked. If you need a new applic DON'T shop Gerhards.
Terrible delivery and service experience
The absolute worst service experience. First and last time using Gerhard’s Appliances. I was emailed two delivery time frames. I accepted 8-12am. Driver calls me @ 6:31am asking where I am? Shows up @ 7:08am. We were sleeping. I contact the driver and he tells me I should have been ready. Customer Service is not available until 9am to discuss the matter. I email customer service, explain the situation and ask them to contact me. No one contacts me. The only email I receive is a confirmation my order is cancelled. No explanation for what happened or an apology for the inconvenience. I would rather pay more money elsewhere than deal with this level of poor service again. I was ready @ 7:30am for my delivery window of 8am-12. Your drivers decided to make their own schedule with total disregard for the customer and your customer service team provided zero concern.
Disappointing
Disappointing on both occasions when we had no other choice but to use Gerhard's, first for a new refrigerator and then over a year later for a replacement stove. In both cases, customer service was horrible. Once the sale was made, it was as if we didn't exist. Indeed, walking into their store when there were issues with our refrigerator that had not been addressed was an exercise in frustration as I stood there for many minutes before any of the staff sitting further back with nothing to do bothered to help. Same with the stove; it was installed but clearly something was not measured properly since it could easily fall down into the space below it. After the installer said he would order a part to fix it, over a month later I still had to contact Gerhard's to ask them to reach out to him for an update, and they seemed to do so begrudgingly. We had many issues with our refrigerator as well, requiring two service visits, and it was apparent from the second service visit that the doors had not been installed in a level fashion. I would avoid them unless absolutely necessary.
Don't Stand Behind their Products
Two months ago I would have rated them a 5 because I bought several appliances--dishwasher, stove, etc.--and always had great service. HOWEVER, be warned that they do not stand behind their products.
I recently bought a washer-dryer set. The dryer never worked. They came and replaced the circuit board. Still didn't work.
They said we needed to check our electricity. We did. All fine.
They said they needed to contact the company (LG) and that the company needed THREE VISITS before they would replace it!
We are now FIVE WEEKS without a dryer, and they are telling us we have to wait for the company (LG).
All of our requests for just sending a replacement for the lemon have gone unheeded. When we call Gerhard's, they just shrug. When we call the company, they either don't get back to us or set up a call and then don't class.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS. We thought Gerhard's was a reputable, reliable, and honest company. IT IS NOT. Everything is fine until there is a problem.
THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS.
Caused a FIRE HAZARD, left without mentioning, terrible response.
They caused a FIRE HAZARD in my home by damaging a dryer wire. The tech DID NOT TELL ME HE DAMAGED IT. We turned the dryer on, thinking everything was fine. It popped off the breaker and sparked, leaving a black mark against the drywall.
During the installation of our washer, they pulled our dryer out without unplugging it. They said everything was finished and fine, then they left. The tech also put the hot and cold hook-ups in backwards. Our hook-ups are clearly labeled. One is red and one is blue.
When I tried to speak to customer service, they gave me so much runaround that I am still not finished. It's been 6 weeks and I have been back and forth with them the entire time.
They tried to send a repair person to fix the damage, but he was not a licensed electrician. I had to hire another group on my own (Gen3, they did a great job). Gerhard's is refusing to pay for the damages they inflicted. They have pictures of the damage. They have pictures BEFORE the damage. They agreed with me over the phone that the tech must have pulled the wire out. They refuse to acknowledge the danger they put us in.
I have given them ample opportunity to do the right thing. I didn't ask them to fix the drywall, I didn't ask them to send a tech back to reverse the hook-ups. I can't believe a company can operate like this. Unreal.

HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! we bought a new kitchen from gerhards and the delivery was mis scheduled twice. Both times, I took time off from work only to be told that delivery would be made much later in the day. What ever you, DONT INTERACT WITH CHRISTINA!!!!! She is treated us as though we made a mistake and because of her I will NEVER buy from Gerhards again!!!
Bad customer service - non existant
Beware! Do not buy from Gehrards. Once they take your money they wash their hands of you. Theur so called "customer service depatmrtment" is empowered to do nothing. Our LG washer broke within two weeks of installation. We were without a washer since August 18. Our new washer arrived today, October 4. Customer service promised several call backs which never came. Had to deal directly with LG customer service which was a fiasco. That we were long time Gehrards customers didn't matter to the store.
Horrible Customer Service
I bought a Frigidaire refrigerator from Gerhards in August, 2024. The unit required 2 services from Frigidaire the first year while it was under warranty. The unit broke down for a 3rd time 1 month after the warranty expired. Frigidaire wanted $300 just to send a service rep, so I called Gerhards asking if they could either take the defective unit back and apply a credit towards a new one or repair it. I was basically told it's not their problem, to deal with the manufacturer. NEVER buy anything from Gerhard!
High level appliance store LOW LEVEL SERVICE
Supposed to be high level appliance store but beware their service and accountability for their products is BELOW LOW standards. Total nightmare for a $2000+ refrigerator purchased and delivered in December. Three months later unit stopped working. April-May, 5 techs sent out and still not functioning. Over $200 dollars of food spoiled. As a “courtesy” they finally agreed to send out a loaner that did not fit and took up 3 quarters of my kitchen (After a month, the loaner was agreed ONLY because I have medication that needs to be refrigerated). Offered and insisted I accept a replacement that was not my initial color or any color to match my other appliances. When I said I needed same color, they said I would have to wait weeks. All along the way, non responsive and nasty as if it is the consumer’s fault. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. First, they said they would get me a reimbursement for my food, now, they will not honor that. Totally unacceptable and no one should do business with such a shady company.
Outrageous charges for repairs
Outrageous charges for repairs. Bought a washer 12/2023. Front lid lock broke already which I knew & told to the repair man who was there for 5 minutes. $380 to repair. $40 for the part. Whitmans Appliance is way more reliable & charge half the cost.
Salesman conveniently forgot to charge me the delivery hook up and removal until it was in my house
We established that the price, delivered, installed, and removal of the old oven would be the same as Lowe’s so I went with these guys since I was right in front of them. The product was delivered and the driver stated he was only supposed to drop off the new oven. After a conversation with Steve the salesman he realized he forgot, conveniently, to charge me for hook up and removal. So I had to pay an extra $238, Lowe’s is around $70, to have this done. I should’ve just bought the stove at Lowe’s and I would’ve saved $200. The worst part is I think this was done on purpose.

Our friends bought a refrigerator 3 years ago. It stopped working 10 days ago. They called for repair, were told the part was ordered. Part was installed and still not working. Had to schedule another appointment! They’ve been living out of an ice chest for what will be over 2 weeks! Because of a 3 year d refrigerator! Terrible service!

Do not buy high end appliances here! I bought a floor model wolf warming drawer and they charged me more than $100 for installation and told me I was going to have to pay an additional $200 since they had to cut the cabinet. The men delivered it and dropped it on my floor and said they were not going to cut any cabinet despite the salesperson telling me "don't worry we do it all the time". Thank God there was a certified wolf team installing my wolf double ovens at the same time (Thank God I didn't buy them at Gerhards! I almost did!). They took over where the Gerhards team left, and installed the drawer. Not only that but the drawer was assembeled improperly and they had to take it apart and use parts from their truck to fix it! They couldn't even believe the poor service of Gerhards! I had to pay them $300 plus I gave them an extra $50 for being so kind. The Gerhards team told me I would not be charged for installation. I have been in touch with the store no less than 4 times in the past 4 weeks since it was installed and they have not refunded me the installation charge. ALSO I LEARNED FROM WOLF/SUBZERO THAT GERHARDS DOES NOT HAVE CERTIFIED INSTALLERS. THE STORE TELLS YOU THAT YOU GET A TWO YEAR WARRENTY BUT YOU ONLY GET THAT IF YOU HAVE A WOLF CERTIFIED INSTALLER. THEY ARE LYING AND THEY ARE CROOKS.They should be ashamed of themselves! Stay clear!

I can't recommend this store based on my recent experience. I needed a new refrigerator and thought I'd have a better experience here than at Lowe's or Home Depot since they focus solely on appliances. I was mistaken.
If you care about your property, think twice before getting an appliance delivered from them. This was my first purchase, and it will definitely be my last.
The delivery staff seemed rushed and ended up damaging my plaster walls leading into the kitchen. They were careless, trying to force a larger unit into a smaller space without making the necessary adjustments. When I pointed out the damage, they just shrugged it off, saying it was a 'difficult fit.' But honestly, it wouldn't have been if they had just turned the unit properly. Lowes got the original fridge in without damage...
I was told that they are not responsible for the damage. The delivery driver handed me a phone with a blank screen "to sign that the fridge was delivered." I mentioned the damage and was told to call the store. There was no text to read on the screen. I feel scammed by this company. They "are sorry for the inconvenience and offered me a measly $100. Knowing fully that they caused the damage.

This place is the worst
This place is the worst. Their incompetence is only rivaled by their deceit. We bought a washer dryer for over $3000. They brought the wrong one and refused to install the washer they had.
Should be zero stars
Their delivery dept. is awful. They will waste your time and deliver damaged appliances. Customer service doesn't care about that once they have your money. Don't waste your time.
Salespeople uninformed and management inflexible
Bought a dishwasher and refrigerator after a dishwasher leak. Saleswoman misrepresented model and sold us a piece of junk. Although Bosch is best brand in dishwasher (previously owned their entry model), this model shouldn't be sold and especially not to people worried about leaks! It has no tray, inside is in 3 pieces vs. solid in unit up, but sales person said only difference is that it has a plastic bottom. Unbelievably uninformed! She should have told us there is no vent so dishes don't dry, unit stinks, doesn't clean dishes, spray arm constantly falls off as it is cheap plastic. Racks are cheap and don't even fit our dishes. We've had installation out twice and a tech out in the past two weeks and they won't let us swap this out. NO customer service. Manager just as uninformed and tried to tell me they have no complaints! Hardly. Cancelled fridge order at least. Will never shop there again.
