Out of my 2 order 5 chrome silver support plug in pins missing from the storage shelf. Other unit I am yet to unpack but inform everything after that. Quick shipping & delivery is a plus. Picture display is good but important fine details lacking in the web page of catalog. Incomplete & clueless communication. No response for queries even after a week. Material is O.k.

Duplicate Payment

I had a payment that was sent through my checking account before I got paid and I noticed that so I paid them. I called customer service and told them I made the payment. They took the payment again. They got paid twice. I called and they said send a email to customer service of the double payment. I get a email from customer service stating they could not fix it by email. I contacted customer service and they gave me another email address to research the extra payment. I'm scheduled to have another payment to come out this month. I stated why don't I just not make the payment for this month. They told me I would be charged a late charge if I did that. REALLY!!. I have never experienced such a screw up in my entire life! Horrible customer service!!

Gettington has closed

Gettington has closed. They are horrible when it comes to customer service.
I wanted to pay off my bill, and no one was willing to listen or work with me
It is a shame i was a great customer and i always paid my bills on time

Pretty Okay

There are several complaints of Gettington randomly closing accounts, but that is because they went out of business. I have never had a terrible experience with them and I have used them off and on for a little over 8 years now. My only complaint is the same complaint that I have with Fingerhut, their prices were insanely higher than they should be. But, thats the price of helping your credit, I suppose.

Started out great

Started out great. Got something, paid it off, helped my credit.....like it should. Then all of a sudden they closed my account. No notice. No explanation, and undid more than the good that the account helped. DO NOT GET THIS!

My credit score dropped big time

My credit score dropped big time, never was notified by mail even though they said they sent letters out!!! Always paid on time and this is the thanks I get. This is not fair to me!

Why all of a sudden did they close my account. Makes no sense payments were made on time and now when you go into shop they say they’re not available for shopping anymore what is up with this

I have had an account with gettington…

I have had an account with gettington for several years and have a great payment history with them they just closed my account without notification it caused my credit score to drop several points I don’t understand why I’m being penalized for something I had no control over? I feel that credit bureaus should have been notified of this so it would not have a derogatory affect on good customers

Don't Do It!

I applied for a Gettington card and was approved. I didn't use it so Credit Karma alerted me that an account was recently closed. To my surprise, it was my Gettington account. What the hell, I never used it and I didn't give them permission to close it. Don't apply for this card!! There should be some way to file a class action lawsuit against these clowns.

I ordered a toy from Gettington several weeks ago and havrn’ Received it yet. Two other things I ordered came relatively quickly but no word on the toy. Missed the birthday so I I’m a little disgruntled.

Please do not get this card from…

Please do not get this card from Gettington. I purchased two items, paid everything on time. They even raised my limit. Now I noticed they closed my account without any notice and now they reported to my credit as "Closed account". My credit score was damaged because of them. I do not recommend this card!

Very unsatisfactory experience

Very unsatisfactory experience. During Covid mandated shelter in place, my income decreased, & Gettington posted a notice they have a payment reduction program for those affected by Covid. I followed their instructions, enrolled by phone, gave all info needed.

Tho he reassured me, their phone staffer had incorrect information, & signed me up w/wrong automated payment amounts per his wrong info.

Before I finalized the signup, I specifically asked about, & he agreed, my credit w/them will be marked as current, & no impact to my credit.

I signed up for bank autopayments for agreed amount to be sure always properly paid & on time. Only then would I agree & sign up for Gettington's Covid relief program.

Though my bank sent all the autopayments, & my Gettington account showed all them as credited, Gettington started to alert me my account was behind.

I called them & they told me don't worry, the computers just automatically say that, they have not caught them up w/new programs saying that you are signed up w/their Covid payment reduction program. He checked, & all my payments were coming in.

So, per his instruction I tried to ignore the alerts, as he reassured me my payments were being received fine.

I got nervous sometimes & sent a few duplicate payments (not totaling my previous payments before payment reduction plan, but 2 & 3 times what they had me agree to when I joined their temporary--a few months--Covid-related program.

Then they informed credit reporting agencies my account was delinquent. I called Gettington, kept going through touchtone maze, sometimes takking w/same person twice, w/no resolution.

I also called all 3 credit reporting agencies. I was reassured by a staffperson at one agency who said various companies were having a hard time keeping up w/Covid changes, & their computers say accounts are delinquent because they do not have information about which ones are on Covid programs, because it was so sudden, & they could not update things yet.

He mentioned a lot of accounts are getting flagged as delinquent by Gettington.

I mentioned my smooth experience with Covid impact payments reduction plan of a different creditor. He said, yes, people have said they have a good experience w/larger companies like that.

Anyway, Gettington suddenly changed my credit limit from over $2,000 to zero.

For many years they had extended me regularly iincreasing amounts of credit (my latest line with them was in the range of $2,600).

Suddenly, directly and SOLELY due to errors by their phone representative, setting up my payments plan for wrong amount, they no longer expected me to continue to do fairly by them as I always had til then.

I was being careful to pay all my bills on time, but due to Gettington (none of my various other creditors, every one of which is marked current every month...only Gettington messed up by their phone rep erroneously signing me up w/automated incorrect pymts).

My FICO score which I was being careful to maintain suddenly tumbled 30 points, thanks to Gettington, who first caused the problem, through errors by their representative signing me up for incorrect amounts...and then called the account delinquent.

I used to buy many things from them, left good reviews.

I used to like this company, but with their recent actions, I can no longer post my former positive reviews of my experience with them.

Their recent mishandling of incorrectly setting up my Covid pymt reduction recurrent amount, then being unresponsive to my online complaints I filed with them, & my many time-wasting phone calls*, (sitting on hold 20-25-30 minutes, only to often be connected w/the wrong person, then repeating).

Anyway, no, their score drops 3 points to 1 instead of 4. Solely because of their atrocious customer service, including inept Covid plan phone sign-up operators conveying & filling in incorrect payment amounts in the plan's terms (he just told me new monthly minimum payment dollar amount...but did not mention actual wording of the agreement, had he fully read / understood it, said that ___$___ fixed dollar monthly payment, OR __%, WHICHEVER IS HIGHER.

Had he told me, armed w/that correct information, I would naturally have signed up w/the amounts that protect my credit w/this company.

Unsatisfactory customer service, being given erroneous information, signed up w/automated pymtfor incorrect amounts, inept phone reps, unresponsive company, ignoring my online complaints to them on their for then disagreeing w/my complaints lodged against them by all 3 credit reporting agencies.

*(Sometimes they mixed up Gettington & another company's customer support, as I started out with a Gettington customer service line, got transferred to a _______ Co. line. It was between Catch-22 & Monty Python.)
