Unfair and shady business practices
I have multiple businesses, two of which are a wedding photo and video business and the other is a corporate video production business, they both have the word video in the name but they are entirely different services. Shannon from Gig Salad repeatedly disables my profile stating that we have multiple profiles for the same service, when it CLEARLY shows on their own website two different service options, main category "videographer" and the other is "wedding videographer." Yet, they think we would get duplicate leads on both accounts, if that were true there would be something fundamentally wrong with the Gig Salad platform, why would a corporate video company get leads for wedding photography and videography and/or the wedding photo/video company get leads for corporate video...
The answer is, they have a paid option that they want to force me to upgrade to, so they are making a stretch that we are violating their policy in an attempt to get up to upgrade to their paid profile. Really shady.

Glad I found Gigsalad
I didn’t even know a company like Gigsalad existed that matched various kinds of musicians to events, in our case a wedding cocktail hour, and I’m so happy I found them. I provided a brief description, time and date of our event and the type of musical instrument and music desired. We were matched with about 10 musicians. Each musician provided their price, their profile, their reviews, and in many instances, a sample of their music. After some consideration, we booked a violinist for our event through Gigsalad and we are looking forward to hearing her play at the wedding!
