Clear interface, pricing, options and explanations. Terms and conditions are in line with reasonable expectations. Highly recommend.

Transparent website, clear description of policy options, simple and easy to navigate. Also I telephoned with a question and received an immediate relevant and helpful answer.

To be fair I gave 4 for ease of setting up travel insurance and quick response to a couple of questions. I have not had the need to use the insurance as yet so can’t comment on the realities of use.

I've held a family, annual multi-trip insurance with Globelink for the last 5 years. After my one and only claims attempt this year, I strongly recommend to AVOID Globelink, and will be switching elsewhere, and want to warn others of my experience. Coverage appeared to be great, and the process to buy was easy, hence I had stuck with them all these years (my bad). I've never actually had to make a claim until this year, when a flight I was on was delayed arriving by around 30 hours, costing us a day's worth of work. After a few weeks of back and forth via a cumbersome manual claims process with Healthwatch (their outsourced claims department), where I had to repeat the situation multiple times plus some documents were asked for again and again even though I had already provided them, ultimately my claim was rejected on a technicality, because the departure wasn't delayed, only the arrival was delayed. Apparently this was as written into the T&Cs. Even after complaint and request for re-review, there was no room to budge. I've since researched and there are a many other travel insurance providers who do not have this type of exclusion in their T&Cs, so I will be switching. I can only hope to warn other customers too, especially if you think you are paying money to be covered for trip delays, but in this case your claim could be denied based on fine print exclusions, rather than Globelink looking at the substance of the outcome.

This is now the 7th year we have used their travel insurance. Won’t be going anywhere else. Good value and no hidden nasties.

It was OK, I guess

Policy was straightforward, conditions were well explained and easier to understand. Pricing was good for the level of coverage

I called the UK support line with a very simple question about whether my insurance is valid for a Schengen visa. The agent sounded annoyed, cut me off, and told me to email instead without answering. Honestly, I don’t see the point of a customer support line if basic questions can’t be handled on a call.

I have struggled to get a formal invoice of my insurance purchase. the reasoning giving by customer service has been unsatisfactory.

Easy to use and so far good. It all boils down to what happens if or when I have to make a claim and the time it takes.

Disliked: The certificate was webpage only. I had to write to Customer Services to get a pdf copy that the print shop could print out for me. WHY? It's so easy to find the download key on most webpages, but not here.

Once you have read through section 4 and understood its contents the rest is easy to navigate

The process was easy to follow and helpful in clarifying what is and what’s not included like other sites.
Hopefully we will not need to claim but if we do then you will honour a claim from what we have declared to you.

Been a customer of their European division for a few years. I had to make a claim (first ever apart from delayed baggage) last year. Everything was handled smoothly, no issues.

Simple, no cavernous disclosures, existing conditions taken care of.
Two things, using an “account system” for repeat offenders would help, plus why not have the extras such as cancellation as an optional extra?
