Greater Manchester Police Avis 

I wanted to leave this positive review as the police seem to get such a bad rep and I wanted to thank them.
I had a tyre blow out on the motorway and was quite panicked and scared - I phoned breakdown and insurance and they advised I call the police with it being a motorway. The man answering the police phone was very patient, thorough and took my details then made sure he located me on a camera and explained he would be watching me to make sure I was safe until help arrived. A small thing and nothing major I know but it made me feel safe and was very much appreciated. Thank you!

Must have been 15 police officers at cardinal langley school on saterday checking for cars speeding my daughter was attacked and nobody came to see her for 4 days shamefull I ham loosing all respect

Disgusting unprofessional behaviour. A law unto thereselves. Corrupt gang of government paid thugs. Broke into my home 11.30 at night. Whilst myself and 8 years old daughter was present. Smashed the door to pieces. Ran upstairs to my living space. Assaulted and battered me in front of my daughter and the only excuse they could give was that they had an anonymous call of an incident at my premises. In the process of suing them etc. Meanwhile they try to ignore and dismiss every communication my lawyer sends to them. I have been refused the body camera footage, as is my right. Whilst investigating my complaint by their own people they have lied about everything and don't accept that I sustained any injuries. Even though I have evidence that I attended hospital numerous times. It's now almost 14 months since the incident and I am no nearer receiving any justice. I will continue to fight for my rights and encourage all others to recognise that GMP today are the biggest bunch of criminals in the country.

Abysmal. Sick of arrogant officers who do not listen or seem interested. As my neighbour said most are “tick box” recruited. I used to have a lot of confidence in them - now I don’t. If they were business they’d been shut down years ago. One star is being far too generous

Firstly I’m not happy I had to give Manchester Police one star.
Well where do I start? In February I called 999 because I was being threatened, the call handler asked if they had a knife, i said no, so no one turned up.
I’ve been attacked by two neighbours, and my property is being vandalised and my ornamentation are being stolen. Both neighbours are acting like children thinking it’s funny. I have three pages of crime numbers, and not one has been addressed.Apart from the assault.
The Manchester police are a waste of time, maybe i should say it’s a hate crime or they insulted my religion. They might actually get off their arses and help.

Was badly burgled. Found out who the burglars were, also saw them with my possessions and reported to police. I called them and crimestoppers on a few occasions, but they never got back to me. Found one of my items in CGX five days after the burglary, which was held for the police. They stated they had video footage and ID of the individual. A month later it was returned, but the police said there was no footage or information. I Watch these individuals openly selling drugs in the afternoons and through the night, and carrying goods into their property in the nighttime, but the police aren't interested, and neither are crimestoppers. With so much information and much more, how can they not be interested? I feel that they may do this again, as they obviously watched and timed me leaving and returning my home. Absolutely horrified. The burglary happened in late 22, but my last experience with the police was summer 24, and crimestoppers Oct 9th 24.

A Fascist useless police force. A Fascist useless complaints department. A Fascist oath breaking useless disgusting disgrace. Nhs is allowed to commit murder and forgery. Police fascist as well and don't attack own fascist government departments. The police and NHS Complaints departments are criminal and fascist. Breaking human rights laws and police don't know there Oath. This police force complaint department is incompetent and gross. Fascist useless lying rats of a police force. Police force is a Fascist disgrace.

I contacted the police about an incident. I was told by the police I would have a police officer attend. The police contacted me back to say I have to wait for the police officer to get in contact. It’s been 4 weeks and still no response. I had to make a complaint to the complaint department. Got a very quick response from the complaint department to tell me that I had to wait until the jobs been assigned to a police officer. All I want is a police officer to attend and to deal with this. Don’t tell me you don’t have the staff to deal with this because I applied to become a police officer with your company 9x in 1 year. To be told each time that you have enough staff. I don’t know what’s going on with your company.

Absolute waste of time, with no care whatsoever about those who break the law. Multiple emails with plentyful amounts of information relating to the issues, even have our local MP involved, who also added he is disappointed in the way GMP deal with things, or don't in this case.
What's more concerning is that the officer or assistant at the station who answered the phone, didn't even know the law. And when I questioned her, she got flustered and hung up!!! All because I wanted to ask what she didn't understand. Its actually scary now, as to how incompetent the police have become, and that they don't even understand the law themselves, be bothered to uphold it, or even engage issues that occur!! Not worth the money, time, and definitely not deserving of the uniform.

I met 2 police officers this evening from Cheadle Heath Station (officers 17060 & 18926). They were super professional and helpful. They went the extra mile to ensure I was safe and well. They really helped in a sticky situation and were very non judgemental. They listened to the situation, resolved the matter quickly and even stuck up for me with another professional (not police). They have restored my faith in the police force and are excellent examples of how to do a job well with great people skills and professionalism. Thanks.

Assault is legal against lesbians.

A man assaulted me outside a ‘lesbian’ club in the Gay Village last night. I complained about this to officer 17704 from Bury Police and he refused to investigate even though the man who had assaulted me was still present inside the club and even smirked at me saying that perhaps the club would check their CCTV, knowing that the security had just let in the man who assaulted me while refusing entry to me because I had complained about the assault. I was excluded from the only lesbian bar in Manchester because a man assaulted me. I then received a voicemail the next day from Longsight Police at 7:44 am saying words to the effect of ‘nothing we can do if you can’t get into a club’ - that is one thing, but refusing to investigate assault is another. Manchester Police condone violence against lesbians in particular as this is not the first time that they have allowed a lesbian to be attacked that I am aware of. Greater Manchester Police are also trained by Stonewall, which is an anti-lesbian organisation and I believe that this too plays a role in why attacking lesbians is accepted.

Reported cyber and by proxy stalking to the police, including things such as masked bikers turning up when I use Google maps, and videoing me, referring to me in speech, making it clear they are there for me, only to find that officers are social contacts of the perpetrator, and further his agenda, asking inappropriate questions, gas-lighting, using their personal phone while in my home to contact the perpetrator, passing my address onto the perpetrator to then give to common third parties, who then showed up at my door, and asked me questions on his behalf. I submitted a complaint. I waited a long time to be contacted. When I was contacted, with a text message of very poor punctuation (people who give little regard on that front are always inconsiderate to people, as well), we were away on holiday, and the complaint was processed without them waiting for any length of time, as I had to, in return. I actually believe the paperwork sent to me was written after I replied with a message stating that I was available that day, with further available dates, and then dated retrospectively, to make it look as though it was typed prior to my sending the message, as it was dated the day before, and I didn't get it in the post for a few days. The above factual behaviour from officers were denied by the officers and dismissed by the officer processing my complaint based at the same station as the officers in question, which is hardly impartial and objective, alongside lots of typed "sorry you feel XYZ" essentially apologising for me feeling the appropriate way towards inappropriate treatment. Respect for privacy and autonomy is not present. Spying, lying, and attempting to control are present. Somebody typed below in their review the words "sociopathic.... misogynistic". Pretty accurate. A female police staff member at headquarters took a report from me after I continued to endure this for a prolonged period. She understood and used the words "puppet master" in relation to the perpetrator. Police officers from Ashton Police Station heavily sided with the perpetrator in an unfair, biased way, allowing for me to continue to be stalked online and through third parties. It seems they have no regard for human rights, wellbeing or a family trying to live their life as they ought to be able to. My local police force falls far short: Ashton-Under-Lyne Police.

My review isn’t to do with the Manchester airport incident, it’s more to do with you reporting a crime, not being listened to and more or less laughed out of the building whilst you sit on your backsides letting someone get away with stealing. It’s not enough that I provided evidence to you and provided an in depth statement, apparently you can’t be bothered dealing with it because the victim is now dead. You should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves, letting a family go through what they have been through and letting a criminal live amongst vulnerable elderly people. If it isn’t to do with speeding fines and revenue for the corrupt police. They aren’t interested.

Nazi police at work. What do you expect, I am not surprised people want to attack police officers and burn their cars and chase them out of Dodge. If the police don't get their act together, Sadly, I can see this will only be the begining of the start. People are tired of police murder, rape and kicking tazered people in the head and squashing their heads. There's very little police regards throughout all the forces so for God sake, don't turn the country into a blood bath, with your twisted policing.

Well if the police officers took a different approach then they wudnt have got knocked out and a broken nose.,so two guys knocked 3 officers and broke a female officers nose. It looks like these officers were looking for a fight,and they sure got one,there's no need for a investigation on that copper,as it's all on video,him stamping on a apprehend person lying on the floor prior to been tasered,the copper should be charged, taken to court and sentenced end of.and also the rest of the officers ,they should also be charged by not following the code of conduct, rather than standing there and watching, they didnt try to stop that copper kicking the guy in the head and kicking the other guy and hitting him with taser, so this means that copper was a police bully,that why hes fellow officers didnt intervene,as he was going around kicking those guys,I wish that guy knocked this copper out too and broke his nose.so all in all it was the police officers fault that escalated this situation. As the officers didnt use there techniques to apprehend people.and the rest of the officers need to be suspended too.all the officers looked racist the men and women, I don't blame the two guys for any thing. Like I said, and different approach wud have avoided this issue.

Reinstate the police officer now. Shown how proper policing should be done.
Prosecute those vermin who think it’s ok to punch police officers and females at that.
But then I shouldn’t be surprised really should I. Given how they view females.

Unbelievable what happened at Manchester Airport. Another Police officer who thinks he can do what he wants and will probably get away with it. No trust in British policing anymore. This country is a disgrace.

Absolute filth … the 12 year old copper that did this is a prime example of the appalling recruitment method in our so called Police force I pay my taxes to fund … I get people saying that an altercation broke out before … but is this the standard we expect? I’m a white guy and no wonder minorities (a term I hate) react in the way they do … all because of this idiot and the other filth in the force UK wide …. And to think the silly wee kid was armed … anyway the IOPC will sort it … will they hell
