I visited Exeter Go Outdoors on Sunday…
I visited Exeter Go Outdoors on Sunday to buy trekking gear for my upcoming Mont Blanc hike. Igor was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble. I left feeling confident that I have all the necessary equipment and am prepared for the hike. Thanks, Igor - excellent service!

Good Customer Service
I ordered a barbecue online which arrived damaged, so returned it to my nearest Go Outdoors, for an exchange. Staff were pleasant, helpful and efficient in dealing with my complaint and replacing the damaged item. Only four stars for Go Outdoors online, as the package should have been better wrapped to prevent damage in transit and possibly marked as "fragile" - the store visit might not have been needed.

Fishing advice
Paul in the fishing section of the Exeter site is a true gentleman. Spent time with me picking up a set up. Gave honest advice as to what I should and shouldn't buy. His knowledge and love for what he does was clear to see. Thank you Paul. Exeter is lucky to have you!

Where is my order
Where is my order. Still haven’t received any information as to when it is in store, ready for collection. That’s after mail informing certain items ordered are no longer available.
Basically lack of customer information.

Fishing equipment
Went to Go outdoors as my son would like to get into fishing, we have no clue when it comes to this hobby. We were met with Paul from the Exeter branch who was extremely helpful pointing out the best rod to buy and keeping the cost down, he pointed out a rod that was actually cheaper than the one I had originally picked up. Really impressed with Paul's knowledge and helpfulness we will be going back.

Father and son fishing gear
Myself and son went in today 12/4/26 to get a few bits to update his fishing gear. We was greeted by a lovely gentleman called Paul, who was very knowledgeable on fishing equipment and guided us in the right direction. We ended up buying two new carp rods and two reels plus a few little bits and pieces. One very happy son

Helmet is great
Helmet is great, great fit and turned up at store on time. Although I still have not received my membership card or have a number.
I also never received a notification that the helmet was in store.

Walking shoes purchase
I was looking for some walking shoes and one of your staff members called Lewis asked me if I needed any help which I did. He advised on the different shoes and how waterproof they were. He was very polite and helpful and fetched me at least three pairs to try on. He couldn’t have been more helpful and it was just generally a very easy shopping experience.

Fishing Visit
We visited with our 9year old son. Who is obsessed with fishing. Paul, was the expert who served us and was so happy, helpful and delivered great customer service. So much so, we wandered round the shop after paying for the first lot of shopping and purchased more items. Well done Paul!
