What a great shopping experience. All staff lovely but special thanks to Emily and Bertie who helped my husband and I. There was such a choice and price range on boots and waterproofs and they enabled us to make the best choices for our needs and budget. We got waterproof trousers and a coat, gloves and boots at the quality we needed at a good price. Love the location too, feels very rural and outdoorsy. Much nicer than more urban outlets xx

Ruth was informative and attentive, helping when me and my father were struggling to find the correct ordinance survey map.
She helped make our visit less stressful and a lot quicker.

Came into store today , looking for hiking gear for a trip im about to go on. When i walked in I was very overwhelmed , I knew what I needed but there was so many options. I approached a lovely girl called Emily, who assisted me perfectly. Emily talked me through what was the best options for my hike and wished me luck.

Great service from Ruth. Found the perfect jacket from the Sales rack.

Good solid range of products. Plenty of staff around to assist. Good service overall. Very poor car park surface. Insufficient parking spaces. Renewed membership, but wasn't offered ways to obtain new replacement card. No facility on website to request new card.

We were shopping for a large number of items for a trip to a warm but wet climate.
Ruth was superb, helping us choose jackets which fitted well and were suited to where we are travelling to.
She was super helpful and patient in helping us decide on the perfect ones.

Visited the Wakefield store on 6 May 2026. Well set out store, everything signed to save time hunting for what you have gone for. Was helped by Emily to locate size and length of trousers I required. Able to try on in a relaxed atmosphere. No complaints and would definitely visit again. Lots of outdoor clothing for sale as well as camping equipment.

Easy and simple ordering! No hassle. The ease of returning items in store was an absolute god send. Friendly, polite and professional staff.

Myself and my husband had a lovely time shopping here recently.
The store has a large selection of every item you could possibly need for walking/hiking and we really appreciated that the sales assistants were not pushy at all, letting you browse in peace but were happy to help as soon as we asked.
A special shout out to Leeann who served us at the checkout. She was absolutely amazing. Leeann made our shopping experience pleasurable. It was so refreshing to have someone engage in genuine conversation rather than no conversation at all and rushing us through for the next customer.
Leeann took the time to give us some really helpful tips on how to care for our new purchases.
Leeann provides excellent customer service and is a truly valuable asset to the Go Outdoors team.

I didnt expect to buy Peter Storm shoes but when i saw them i tried them on and liked them besides buying the items i came in for it is good no one approaches you when just looking ! Emma was Cheerful who served us as was the person who said Hello when we entered the shop

I really enjoy shopping at this store .
It’s always well stocked,clean and tidy and staff are wonderful.
I bought a great little lightweight jacket today but was struggling to find my membership details ,the lovely Daniela helped me out and all worked out in the end.

Visited to look for a replacement winter coat and this branch had lots of different options. Staff were helpful, we actually bought a coat, trainers and another top. Checkout staff very helpfully found my membership card details and we walked away very happy.
