excellent customer service from Izzy and Jacob
we went to the store on 2nd may 2026. we were greeted by Izzy who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about every product we asked to look at. She explained about the deal they had on chairs and we ended up buying a yeti one along with an outwell one , she also helped us decide which cool box was suitable for our needs. she made our experience a lot easier than just staring at things not knowing what to get. Jacob was also very professional and helpful on the tills,

One of the best customer service experiences I have ever had! Thank you to Mel, Josh and Eve for checking my unsuitable unused tent over 7 months after I bought it and giving my a full value credit note to put towards another one. Very approachable, friendly and understanding staff. I was happy to prove my mum wrong who said I would be too late to get anything back for my purchase from October last year! Thanks again. Highly recommend.

Mark was a star!
Mark at York Vangarde was fantastically helpful and patient when my wife and I called in to buy running shoes. His product knowledge, and knowledge of physiology and running in general was reassuring as we are far from being experts. He explained the differences between shoes and was generous with his time as he went back to the store room for numerous different pairs. I would give him 10 stars if I could.

Excellent customer service
I recently have a trip backbacking abroad and I visited go outdoors vanguard York to pick up some essentials. I ran into Eve in store who helped me pick out some items and give some excellent recommendations. I am forever grateful for the service giving while I was in store. I now feel much more confident going ahead with my trip thanks to Eve even getting some suggestions from her own personal experience.

Returned a tent
Returned a tent, due to really difficult pole set up. CLIVE at york was exemplary. He was profesional , courteous and definately new what he was talking about.
Happy with refund and will return to look at a new back packing tent.
