Gradshop Avis 10

It is my first year teaching at a high school and and it was very busy; I simply let time slip away and before I realized it, I hadn’t dug out my Master’s gown and hood… when I looked for my hood, it was nowhere to be found and I didn’t think there was any hope of ordering one in time. Gradshop came through ahead of schedule and my new hood looks AMAZING! I can’t begin to thank them enough; I was frantic!

After making a purchase from gradshop.com my credit card information was stolen. This card was not used anywhere else in the time frame of the purchase.

Had a good experience with this company a while back and had promised them I would leave the a good review as they did exactly what they promised which was send me my masters cap, gown and academic hood on time. Pricing was good and they shipped international for me from their Texas location I believe.

SCAM!! OVERSEA company!! I ordered shiny caps and gowns for the church preschool. With picture 2 weeks away and no order received I felt the need to check on the order. I could NOT get anyone on the phone nor on the online chat. After several emails I finally just got this response!!! Really?? You are just now telling me you can process my order because you don't have the product!! Read the email they sent below (spelling errors and all). I am still waiting for my CC to be refunded!! So stressful when a whole school is depending on them.

Regarding the shiny gold cap and gown, we do not have this color anymore. We have matte black or white instead.

We only received half of our order but they charged us the full amount. They are not responding to any emails, chats, or phone calls. Graduation is only a few days away ...

DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF BUYING FROM THEM. This is my story:

May 5th: I buy a cap and tassel for my husband's graduation. For many reasons that would make this text too long to share, this was a big deal for him, for all of us. Tassel was $11.90 and cap was $8.90. I spent an extra 30 dollars (!!!) for expedited processing (same day) and shipping (2 days).

May 8th: I check and see that products have not been processed. Send an email asking for cancellation because clearly it would not get there on time.

May 9th: They send me an email saying order was shipped.

May 10th: They send me an email saying order had already been shipped,  so I cannot cancel it. Once I received it, I could just send it back.

At some point I called and explained that my problem was with the delivery, not the product itself, so I wanted to be refunded for shipping. They agree.

June 14th: After a lot of back and forth, they finally send me instructions for the return (they required an RMA, whatever that was).

July 13th: I shipped the products and paid $12.31 for it.

They refunded me a total of: $11.90

??????

I contacted them dozens of times since then. They now want me to prove that they promised to refund shipment. I ended up spending more to ship the products back than the refund itself (which, btw, doesn't even cover the products). I've called many, many times, and they simply disregard me. Last time (today) I called and as soon as Violet (it's always the same person) realized it was me, she asked for a minute and never came back.

They basically STOLE from me, as I spent a total of $75 dollars and get less than a $12 refund. They kept the money AND the products. This is flat out stealing, right?

So, since I'm giving up on trying to get them to refund me, I'll at least warn other customers about this store. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. THEY ARE NOT HONEST, THEY HAVE NO REGARD FOR CUSTOMERS AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED A GENUINE STORE.

IF I COULD GET GRADSHOP.COM NO STARS I WOULD 👎....THEY MAKE SURE YOU CANNOT PICK OUT YOUR SIZES ONLINE....YOU KINDA DON'T HAVE A CHOICE JUST BUT TO CALL THEM, TO MAKE SURE YOU TALK TO REAL PEOPLE AND TO PUT AN ORDER IN IF DESIRE..... THEY GAVE ME A GRADUATION GOWN THAT WAS 10 SIZES BIGGER THAN WHAT I ORDER, I SPECIFICALLY TOLD THE MAN THAT I WAS 5 4' AND WEIGH 210.... THE HAT IS SO BIG IT'S LIKE IT'S FOR A FOOTBALL PLAYER !.....THEY DON'T RESPOND TO THE EMAILS NOBODY ANSWER THE PHONE IT GOES STRAIGHT TO VOICEMAIL . THEY DO NOT RETURN YOUR PHONE CALLS....THEN THEY HAD ENOUGH NERVE... TO CHARGE A FOREIGN FEE LIKE THEY BASED IN JAPAN... WHEN THEY SOLELY BASED IN CALIFORNIA.... I SPECIALLY ASKED HIM LET ME KNOW IF IT'S GOING TO BE SOME HIDDEN FEES ...AND I WILL SAY FORGET IT... THEY LIED THEY CHARGED ME A FOREIGN FEES ANYWAYS .... WHEN THAT ORDER CAME FROM CALIFORNIA ! .... AND THEY REFUSED TO SEND ME MY RECEIPT THROUGH MY EMAIL AFTER PUTTING IN THE ORDER, AS I ASKED THEM TO DO . DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ! I'M GOING TO MAKE SURE I FOLLOW UP, AND FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB AGAINST THESE PEOPLE....

I ordered custom diploma covers on May 14th for a June 5th graduation ceremony. I was told on May 28th that they would not be here on time. I now have one week to find these at another company.
My sales rep, Sophie, totally dropped the ball.

I ordered my husband a graduation sash. It arrived in the time the company quoted and was just as I ordered. I am always concerned about ordering from companies who ship directly from China, but in this case, the package came via DHL and the process worked well.
