Grasshopper Bank was named after the famed computer scientist and US Navy rear admiral Grace Hopper, and our tagline “Only Forward” pays homage to the grasshopper, who can only jump forward. By using the framework that Grace Hopper built before us, we intend to redefine what it means to provide the best digital banking experience. This is a great bank with amazing…

This is a great bank with amazing customer service! The only problem I have is you have to wait to long for money to transfer. When you run a business and need to get workers money fast you can’t everything is 1 - 3 business days. I tried doing a wire and that took 5 days.

Few frills, plenty of substance.

Everything is very easy, from application, to managing the accounts (even if you have multiple one). Customer service is always very precise, knowledgeable, courteous, and—above all—ready to find a solution. The rates are very competitive.

Horrible bank

Horrible bank. 5 days in and still no account. They keep coming back with more and more questions. It takes an act of God to open an account here. There are much better solutions then Grasshopper. Try Found or Lili (Sunrise Bank NA.) Much better experience and quicker service. Grasshopper is a joke. They hop backwards when others take you forward.

A convenient online bank with great UX…

A convenient online bank with great UX using either its app or website so far. It is not the most featureful (for example one, would love to be able to send Zelle!), but definitely has all that I need in a business banking account: simple saving, easy to use checking with overdraw protection, simple to setup ACH transfers, rapid response from online support.

Once the personal information was provided the transfers started to occur. Still slow but working.

Invasion of personal privacy by asking for documents that contain a lot of personal information. It would be nice to know what information can be redacted so requirements are met without providing unnecessary information.

The representative whom I spoke with listened to what my issue was. After hearing, he explained what was happening. So he succeeded in reassuring me that in three days my transaction would occur. And that I had not made any errors. And I am so satisfied that he was correct.

I was able to get a human on the phone…

I was able to get a human on the phone in less than a minute. Everything is simple and user friendly. The structure allows for up to 4 equal owners on the business account which isn't always an option at other banks.
