Today I received some interested feedback of one of the real estate agents, it is a confirmation on my first review how Great Estate communicates with there customers.
My question:
Good morning Filippo any updates about the unsolved issues and outstanding payments, repair swimming pool etc. We will come to Umbria in December for 3 weeks. We will visit other properties during our stay in Italy 🇮🇹 regards.

Answer agent Great Estate:
The proprietor will prefer to wait all his life instead of selling to you. To cut a long story short: if you think we can look for alternatives I'm available to work with you in the "standard" way. this means that our commission (4%) is clearly mentioned in case of offer and not "within the price". If this is shareable with you then we can proceed, Otherwise, it is better for everyone to continue on their own way.

The negative and brutal respons goes on and on in the same improper way. It is almost unbelievable that these people can represent a company as Great Estate.

One thing is certain at Great Estate for 4% commission you will certainly be treated unfriendly.

At the recommendation of Italian friends, my wife and I commissioned Great Estate to help us purchase a country property in Umbria, that was being sold through a different real estate agency. Filippo Cori and team worked with us over 5-6 months and in summary was invaluable in the work he/they did. The property titles, deeds and property transfer procedure were unlike anything else we had experienced before, complicated even by Italian standards, and Great Estate guided us and completed some wonderful due diligence work which resulted in a successful outcome for us (and the vendor). I highly recommend his and Great Estate’s services to anyone looking for property in Italy.

Great Estate was referred to us by a trusted friend. We could not have been more pleased about the comprehensive communication and follow through of our realtor. He guided us through every step, even though the seller was less than cooperative. We did have roof leaks after the sale, even though we asked about any deferred maintenance, but the seller may not have disclosed this. Our realtor went beyond what was required, assisting us with a bank account, phone service, contractor connections, finding furniture and even a rental car! We cannot recommend Great Estate highly enough.

We bought a property in Tuscany a year ago using Great Estate. They were really excellent, both before and after the purchase. They advised us on finding a notary; they got us a codice fiscale; they suggested a really good architect who has helped us refurbish the house; they also helped with the transfer of the utility bills. We had the pleasure of working with Nicoló Cordone in securing property in Umbria and we cannot say enough good things about him and the experience as a whole with Great Estates. Being in the US the time change can sometimes be difficult, but it seemed as though Nicoló was always available, responding outside of normal hours to help us and answer our questions. They were there to help all along the way, even providing much needed assistance with paying utility bills after the sale was finalized. Nicoló continues to be very helpful and we all consider him a close friend.

The property itself is nothing short of extraordinary. We have already had large family gatherings in the home and are already planning our next trip over.

I have experienced excellent service from Filippo Cori at Great Estate, and I have never had anything to complain about. Filippo has patiently presented properties to us in our hunt for the perfect match, he has visited properties on our behalf and video taped it for us in out absense, he has referred us to a great property lawyer, and he has helped us bid at an auction in Italy. He has been honest, and never tried to oversell anything.
I noticed that the last gentleman who wrote a review, has 5 1-star reviews. I suppose some people are just negative.

Contacted about a property located in Umbria, but deceitfully described as a "prestigious residence, surrounded by the Umbrian countryside", it quickly appeared that instead of the usually preserved Umbrian countryside, this deserted house (stagnating on the real estate market for many years, although presented at a price more than THREE TIMES the local market value... while the fluctuating living surfaces vary from 336 to 511 sq.m.!) is stuck between some welcoming "luxury" high voltage pylons and a smelly intensive poultry farm.

Moreover, just to confirm their lack of honesty and basic respect towards their customers, the "Property Consultant" in charge of this listing has rudely hang up on my assistant, as soon as she underlined the qualities/real living surfaces/asked price inconsistencies.

In short, this real estate agency has no scruples to mislead the buyers, and such disloyal practices should be exposed to the right authorities.
