The whole organisation of the holiday was fabulous. All transport was waiting for us with tickets for ongoing travel.
The hotel was lovely, staff friendly, food lovely and traditional. If we were to be picky there were a couple of things that could we tidied up a bit such as noisy bathroom door and cracked wall outside but as I said that’s being ultra picky.
The only reason for not giving a 5 was we felt the rep at the hotel was rushing to give us pieces of paper and could have been more informative. There was a festival starting the day after we arrived which she didn’t mention to us. We would have gone had we known more about it. Ischia is beautiful, hotel Agavi lovely.

Unfortunately once I paid the money no one followed up about anything. I asked to reschedule my flight and no one bothered calling me back. As I never made the booking I couldn't reschedule. The 3 requests I had they only followed up on one after I called them several times about it. I found it all very frustrating

Having breakfast and evening meal included was great.
Only slight downside was pick up time of coach from track but after some pleading we pushed it back for the Sunday. Would be better and to prevent rushing or missing anything if coach pick up from track was a bit later.
Would use this company for future F1 deals.

We bookedour trip to Ischia ,Italy through Travelzoo UK and the Great Value Holidays booking process went smoothly. We received documentation by email. Our hotel, La Pergola was great and we really enjoyed our holiday there. The views were beautiful,as were the mountains and hotel gardens. The staff were exceptional and were genuinely welcoming, efficient,professional and friendly and always had a smile. There were many Italians there which added to the atmosphere and made it feel like a true Italian experience. The food in the restaurant was authentic ,home made and was plentiful, with lots of choice.My dairy allergy was catered for with no hiccups. The hotel provided a regular shuttle bus to the two neighbouring towns which we used frequently.Pools were lovely - clean and warm,especially the thermal pools. Unfortunately, things didn’t go to plan on our return journey. We were picked up from the hotel as arranged and taken to the ferry port. The driver gave us our ferry tickets. Quite a short crossing. But, there was no-one there to pick us up from the ferry to take us to the airport. I contacted the emergency phone number,but no replies. Became a bit stressful then. So we got a taxi to the airport at our own expense- with a receipt. I contacted Great Value Holidays on our return home. They were very helpful and understood our predicament. Great communication . They were going to investigate what went wrong and then refund us the 70 euros for the taxi cost. So, I am just waiting for that now. Also, I had to ask the hotel reception for our return pick up and flight information as we had not received any details up to the Friday,as we were flying early Sunday morning. Hopefully,these difficulties will be investigated and resolved for future bookings.

We honestly thought this holiday was too good to be true as it was such good value. The hotel vouchers, F1 tickets and bus info arrived in good time on the portal - it was all very well organised.
We were greeted at the airport by a very friendly and efficient guy, and received similarly good service from Carlos and our driver on track days. The hotel was very good (despite the issues mentioned below) with lots going on around and, for a hotel buffet, the meals were excellent.
We had brilliant Grandstand tickets for the F1 and the transfer to and from the track was pretty straightforward and effort-free.
There are only a few things that stopped me from scoring 5 out of 5:
- the airport transfers took a very long time. A direct trip of just over an hour took 2.5 hours because we had to drop off in multiple resorts at many hotels. At one point, the sat nav said we were 3 mins from the hotel and we arrived 15 mins later due to other drop offs. The pick up transfer was at 5am despite our flight being at 11am. Just be prepared!
- the hotel was centrally located and VERY noisy due to the pubs and nightclubs being open all night. There were earplugs on the bedside which was a clear indication and, when I asked to change rooms, the receptionist was not at all surprised. She wasn't able to help due to the hotel being full, but she was very polite.
- On practice and qualy days, we had to leave before the end to make our pick up as our grandstand was at the other end of the track to where the bus was parked. If there had been a lengthy safety car on race day, we would have missed the end of the race or the bus. A later pick up would have made it a more relaxed day and thank you to Carlos for arranging this when we asked.
All in all, a great value holiday (as the name suggests) which was very well organised. I would definitely use this company again.

We had the most wonderful stay at the adults-only Casa Cook in unspoilt Samos, thanks to Great Value Holidays. Extremely impressed with the GVH service and information from start to finish and their traveller portal/dashboard was very helpful. In fact we loved our time there so much that we changed our flights and stayed an extra week! I did telephone GVH to ask if they could extend our stay but, sadly, the GVH offer had ended so we had to pay full price direct to Casa Cook, which made us realise what a fantastic offer GVH had given us - £1289 for 1 week, 2 adults, B&B including flights versus Casa Cook's own price for our 2nd week of £2,400 for B&B without any flights!!! Casa Cook was superb - very high-end, luxury accommodation, modern cocrete buildings with cleverly designed swim-up pool suties, ultra cool staff, superb restaurant and private beach with waiter service. 20 min walk to Pythagoria town where there are lovely harbourside restaurants and a variety of shops. We hired a car to explore the nearby mountains and towns which we sublime. We are so impressed with GVH that we hope to book another trip with them this week!

Went to the Barcelona Grand Prix, excellently organised by Great Value Holidays. Hotel, flights and transfers were all top rate.
Only small gripe was that the coach back from the GP was a little too early but difficult to pick faults otherwise. Would recommend.

Yes, great value, resort was lovely, food, beach, cocktails and swim up pool bungalow all very good.
The only issue was the included airport transfer was not there at the airport when we arrived. GVH only use an emergency messaging service which made us feel vulnerable as two females travelling alone and no one at the airport or to call. Eventually, we got a message back assuring us our driver was there, he was not, by then 2.5 hours after we arrived the place was empty! They agreed we could make our own way in a taxi and they paid the €160 for the 2 hour journey. I think it was a fault of the hotel as they apparently arrange these transfers but still talking to a GVH representative would have been helpful.
Once in resort everything was lovely.

The package overall was good value. The accomodation, tour and car hire provided were all lovely and I would book with those individual companies again directly. However I would think twice about booking with Great Value Holidays again. This is because we arrived at midnight at our hotel (we weren't delayed at all so this arrival time must have been anticipated by the travel company and was understood by us on booking). However we were nearly without accomodation for the night as a result of this last arrival time. Luckily we managed to find the hotel owner however she wasn't happy and she said that their last check in time was at 8pm. We apologised and said that we thought she would have known our arrival time from the package company. She said she did not and she had called them to see if we were still coming (she had no details to contact us directly) when it was getting late. She was told that the travel company had no idea where we were and if we were even going. Whilst they wouldn't have been able to track if we got on our flight, they could have said that they anticipate that we would be arriving late due to their flights bookings and the travel time to the hotel from the airport. Another 5 mins and I think we would have been sleeping outside in an remote part of Italy as there were no other hotels for miles! Secondly we had a wine tour included in our package. I had understood (rightly or wrongly) that it included a collection and drop off particularly as we were in a remote part of Italy and the tour involved wine so we ideally we wouldn't use the hire car to attend this as one of us would not be able to fully enjoy the experience. The day before the tour I noticed that it said transport not included and it said department time between 10.30-11 am. I emailed Great Value Holidays via their urgent help form which apparently they prioritise and respond within a few hours if you are in the middle of the trip or about to go on your trip. I asked for them to clarify there was definitely no transport included and if not what time the tour was booked given the 30 minute departure window and we had to make our own way there. I received no response. We had to drive to the vineyard, we were 15 minutes late as apparently we should have arrived at 10.30 am and one member of the party only tried two out of the five wines as a result of having to drive us back. The most frustrating thing is I emailed Great Value Holidays 6 days ago with this 'priority' query. At the time of writing this they still haven't responded!

I should point out that I have only booked the holiday and have not yet been, however, the price we have paid for 1 week for 2 people in the five star Cabu Adults only hotel in Rhodes on half board, inc flight, baggage and transfers in September cost £2060.00 total. The same deal with the same flights with Onthebeach comes in at £3660.00 ! Truly incredible value. The proof of the pudding...........

The journey was fairly complicated with three pick up collections on the way out and on the way back. In every case the collections went smoothly and all contacts were made on time. Well done!

The booking process was easy. The price was great. The only issue was that the hotel we booked (Mirage Bleu, Zante) was not as expected - it was rated as a 5 star but fell short, and we were informed we would get a massage but there was no spa facility. But, neither spoilt our holiday- we felt we got great value for money. Would definitely use Great Value Holidays again and likewise, would return to Mirage Bleu.

Had a really nice time just let down when they forgot to pick us up when we returned to Porto from Pinhão. Soon rectified after a phone call! Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. A really good trip.
