Happy Hounds Avis 5

This review is not targeted at the work that happy hounds offer, but an interaction I have had with the male owner of the business. I had just left work in Exeter and as I crossed a road back to my car, a happy hound van cut the corner and nearly knocked me over. The man driving starting then hurling abuse at me and gave the middle finger, a colleague of mine nearby came to support me (after hearing a man shouting at a young female). The van stopped, in the middle of the road, in an unsafe position (I do not know if dogs were present in the van at this time)
and continued to hurl abuse at myself and colleague, he was then delightful enough to share his spit directly at my colleague. Absolutely vile and abusive man.

If i could leave no stars then I would. They offer 50% off first groom on their own website, i then made and enquiry and they confirmed the offer. They then took my payment and said actually the offer ended weeks ago. Refused the discount and said it would be full price if i wanted to keep the appointment. Meanwhile I cancelled another appointment so was left high and dry. Absolutely terrible experience.

So happy with the service, the team are so lovely and helpful! I had to reschedule my appointment due to my dog giving birth and the team and Chloe who I spoke to was so understanding and lovely- only wanting the best for my little woof) My dog had a great time and her nails, hair cut and everything looks great she came out smelling amazing! Very happy and will for sure coming back! Thanks again! 🥰🥰

Jo & Mike recently looked after our 3 year old Shih Tzu Gracie & 14 year old Whippet Ellie.
I was very apprehensive about leaving them with strangers particularly as Gracie has Epilepsy but Jo & Mike instantly put my fears to rest.
They we're so friendly & professional. Also very flexible with drop off & pick up times.
Jo kept me updated with photos and messages during the days which was unexpected but very much appreciated.
I wouldn't hesitate booking again and would highly recommend them.

Happy Hounds is a wonderful company. They popped in most days to let my little mini-dachshund out and were very reliable and flexible. They were genuinely very attached to her and I was very grateful for their loving care. My dog recently passed away due to old age and the girls were genuinely sad. I would highly recommend this company - they are super.
