Hays Travel - Aylsham Avis 

Well once again a really great experience with Jo, as always very helpful. Managed to get two great holidays, nothing is too much trouble. Jo knows us and no matter who serves us we are always happy, great team in the Aylsham Hayes branch.

The people in Aylsham Hays ravel are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. All is well with planning your trip when you are with Hays of Aylsham.

We booked a family cruise through Hays Travel in Aylsham, with a total booking value of just under £15,000, and unfortunately our experience has been very disappointing.

From the outset, we made it clear that a specific cabin configuration was essential for our family (double bed, pull-down bed, and space for a cot). We checked this multiple times before booking and were repeatedly assured that this arrangement was possible.

However, upon boarding, we were informed by the ship’s staff that this configuration was not possible due to health and safety restrictions. This meant the cabin we had booked was effectively mis-sold.

As a result, we spent the entire two-week cruise in a compromised and uncomfortable setup, which staff acknowledged was not compliant with standard safety arrangements. This caused stress at the start of the holiday and ongoing inconvenience throughout.

Following the trip, we raised a formal complaint. After more than 10 weeks of back-and-forth, Hays Travel confirmed that they had been given incorrect information by P&O Cruises, but still declined to take meaningful responsibility. The only resolution offered was £50 per person (£200 total), which we do not feel reflects the severity or duration of the issue.

We are now having to escalate the matter to ABTA for independent review.

While staff were polite throughout, the overall handling of this situation — particularly the mis-selling and the lack of a proportionate resolution — has been very disappointing.

We would recommend that anyone booking through Hays Travel ensures that any specific requirements are independently verified in writing, as assurances given at the point of sale may not always be accurate.

Lauren was amazing, understanding our brief perfectly and the dilemma we were in. We had been waiting 11 days for our previous agent and airlines to reroute us home after the Middle East crisis, neither gave any assistance at all despite numerous attempts by us. We were simply left stranded. Lauren delivered us a solution in less than an hour from our initial chat, to booking flights. TRULY AMAZING *****THANK YOU 😍

Lauren was absolutely amazing at helping us to book a trip to Malta. We have never been before and knew nothing about the island so she talked us through the different locations to help us choose where would be best for us. All our friends and family have highly recommended Hays Travel to us.
So we popped in for a look on the way back from Norwich after a extremely disappointing visit to another well know travel agents....
We were instantly welcomed in by Sam and her team, took a seat and brought coffee!
Within an hour we had a perfect holiday villa in Cyprus booked, tailor made to all our requirements- all thanks to the wealth of knowledge and experience of all the staff.
They offer a huge variety of splendid holiday destinations, cruises, hotels villas - absolutely amazing.
Everything from flights, accommodation, transfers to currency was expertly handled by them. We also got plenty of useful tips from places to see, local transport to baggage lockers!
It was a wonderful experience and we are looking forward so much to our trip to Cyprus- thanks to all at Hays Travel.
