Worst experience ever

The absolute worst company to rent a room. Do not rent a room here. The rooms are less good then the look. The flat managers are horrific, and do not communicate at all. I was left without hot water 6 times in 4 months, sometimes even up to 5 days, with my flat manager telling me that it is 'normal', and I should just take a ice cold shower.
At the end, the company started renting the rooms out to Airbnb, with random strangers in my house every other day. They did not tell us this.
It is the worst experience I have ever had with housing, they only want to make money and do not care about you at all. Would never recommend it to anyone.

ILLEGAL ACTS

I allow myself to write on the agency HELP MADRID, because what they do is ABSOLUTELY ILLEGAL, and even DANGEROUS.
I established a one-year contract with them, and despite the INSANITARY conditions of the apartment, the exorbitant agency fees, and the almost total absence of the officials, I had nothing to complain about. Only, there is a week of it (04/16/20), so in full CRISIS OF WORLD PANDEMIC OF CORONAVIRUS, they say to me that they will break my contract for the 04/30/20 last deadline, either two weeks later, without any explanation given. I try to answer them and understand, keeping my calm despite the fact that they tell me that I must move my things before April 30 (I was confined to my home in France, unable to return to Madrid), without really try to help me. After tons of calls and messages, with responses still irrelevant, I managed to negotiate that they reimburse me deposit and agency fees, and FORMALLY FORBIDDEN to come in to my room. I asked a friend, who stayed in madrid, to come to pick up all my left belongings. They force me to sign a paper to stop the contract, and that I must admit that nothing was stolen from me, without having any supporting evidence, telling me that otherwise my friend will not be able to come in and to move my business(which would go to the trash). Without any choice, I did it. Once my friend arrived home, SHOCK !!!!! EERYTHING HAD BEEN DISTURBED; clothes, shoes, sheets, everything piled up loose in a corner, full of dust on top, BROKEN SUITCASES, etc ... WITHOUT BEING WARNED. In addition, no advancement on their part for the reimbursement of deposit and agency fees, which they had promised me, and that I will probably never see again !!!!!! I am literally shocked by the LACK OF HUMANISM, UNDERSTANDING OR EVEN HELP OF THIS AGENCY DURING THIS PANDEMIC CRISIS; indeed, IMPROPER BREACH OF CONTRACT, VIOLATION OF DOMICILE BREAKAGE OF PERSONAL BELONGINGS and ordered displacement on their part during THIS VERY STRICT confinement period, such is their slogan. It is not in my habit to put an opinion, especially negative, but I had to do it in order to prevent what can happen to you !!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS REVIEW. I have never written a review for anything in my life, but this was absolutely necessary. Let me start out by saying if you receive Olga as your flat manager, good luck. She is a horrible flat manager. She does not listen to anything you have to say, blames you for everything that goes wrong in the flat, and is on a power trip. She will try to charge you for anything she can and never believes that when something breaks it wasn't your fault. If you p*** her off you will definitely not get any corporation from her and then she will only speak to you in Spanish. I really did love the flat I stayed in, but Olga made it almost unbearable and I got charged 2 b****** fees, because the flat was really just old and needed upgrading. I would suggest looking at other housing options before booking through HelpMadrid or also Spotahome is sometimes connected to HelpMadrid. I promise booking with them will cause you more of a headache than its worth.

refund took over 8 months and it's short!

it took 8 months to receive a refund...apartment was okay but business operations are a mess - commission equivalent to one months rent, mysterious charges that were supposed to be included, My refund is still short! I was owed EUR519.45 and have only receieved approx EUR474. AVOID THIS COMPANY unless you're desperate of don't mind the extra costs....

Milked me for money after having moved out. Very bad service.

I lived at a shared helpMadrid apartment from February until June 2019. I was in Madrid for a universitary exchange. Before arriving I asked if I could arrive a couple of day's before the start date on the contract, because my exchange started two days before, and because i knew that the person living there before me had already moved out, so the room was free, as far a i was concerned. helpMadrid did not allow it and I had to live on a hostel the first days of my exchange. When I arrived at their office to sign my contract, the dates on the contract where not the dates I had reserved online. When I told that to Agustín, the apartment manager, he told me that it was not possible to change it. And I was therefore forced to sign a contract a month longer than I was actually planning to stay. Therefore. When I left the apartment one month before (which they new already four months before my leaving) they did not pay me back the deposit. Also I had to pay a reservation fee, which was cost the same as a months rent. I am not sure was service I got out of paying that. When I arrived, the standard of the apartment was acceptable but definately not a good one. There was no top madras, nor pillow, nor duvet, even though I was told I only had to bring bed linen. Therefore I had to run out my first day to buy duvet so I did not freeze in the cold february nights. We had problems with the door to the toilet that would lock sometimes. Therefore several of my roommates experienced to be locked into the bathroom. Once a guy was stuck for over 4 hours, even though my other roomie had called the helpMadrid emergency number in one of the first hours. It has only when I got home and called the same number and muttered in spanish, that the help arrived. I have later thought that in case of fire that guy would not have survived. Because we did everything we could to open the door before help came, and it was impossible. As far as I know we asked for helpMadrid to help the problem at least four times during my period living there. The problem was already there when I arrived, so I don't know how many people have had that problem before me. It was not fixed before a couple of weeks before I left. This means that it was broken for at least 4 months. Later when I got to know local people I found out that helpMadrid was claiming a lot more in monthly costs than other people living on the same street as me were paying. I don't know the reason, but I wonder why. I also found out my rent (490 Euros) was a lot higher that other people living in the same area, even on the same street. When I moved out I left every costs until the date of my check out paid. Moreover I had all along paid every expense on time. Now after I have left the apartment the apartment manager and the office's mail address are spamming me, asking me to pay more costs that they "forgot" to claim before my leaving. Even though I have payed over prized costs every month. I have tried to explain them that I have paid everything before leaving. I really hope they will stop milking me for money soon. I find it very disgusting to use a foreign student to get money. I would not recommend this firm to anybody. I hope that they will consider this critique and change their practice. I have told them my critique along the collaboration. But as they even have kept on harassing me after the collaboration has ended, I found it necessary to write this public review.

Utile e professionale

Non posso che dire di essermi trovata benissimo con i ragazzi di help Madrid: offrono un servizio con una grande offerta, sia per quantità che per varietà, diverse tipologie di contratti e per quanto posso dire io accomodazioni ottime.
L'impressione è stata buona fin dalla prima visita in ufficio, ero un walk in e mi hanno accolta con professionalità, mi hanno spiegato come funzionava e mi hanno portsto a vedere due camere che risultavano libere. Già quando ho visto la seconda, però, ero convinta che la prima fosse quella ideale: il condominio si trovava in posizione perfetta per il mio lavoro e la camera era molto bella, valeva il prezzo chiesto e forse di più.
C'è sempre stata trasparenza nel spiegare tipologie e clausole del contratto, cosa era compreso e cosa no, come funzionavano i pagamenti e tutto il resto.
Non ho avuto un singolo problema per tutto il tempo in cui ho vissuto lì.
