Joanne was great at getting the ball rolling and keeping everything on track. Everything on time, on spec and on budget together with friendly and informed advise about what a mess I was making with my choice of material. Sorted by Toby and full ensemble used for a very important event.
Already made an appointment to get measured for some tailor made Polo shirts as cannot find off the peg stuff with the right length.

I have used Hemmingway's for many years. Had 2 suits and some shirts from here, outstanding quality and service. Its not just about the clothing its the whole experience of going and having clothes made to measure and more cost effective than you think as they clothes I have have lasted many years.

Toby and the team at Hemingway Tailors provided me with 7 beautiful well fitted shirts plus a super 130’s wool made to measure suit.

Being new to the bespoke garment world and armed with tonnes of questions around cloth choice, collar styles etc, Toby patiently took time to explain everything in a really helpful and professional easy to understand way.

I went to Hemingways for a tailored suit, waistcoat and shirt for my son's up and coming wedding. A great experience from start to finish. Such lovely people - Toby and Joanne - so welcoming and helpful with a clear focus on what I wanted - and counselled by Toby's amazing expertise and experience! The suit fits beautifully. Fortune smiled upon me when I chose Hemmingway Tailors to make my bespoke suit for a special wedding. Since then, I have returned numerous times for shirts, trousers, jackets and new suits.
Toby, the proprietor, is a genius. He can help you choose the perfect materials, the colours and patterns and even the style of your suit, jacket, shirt or even all of the above. He is a perfectionist and ensures that everything he makes for you is exactly how you want it. He will guide you but ultimately it’s your garment and his goal is to make you happy.
As a bonus, Hemmingway Tailors can help you with shoes, ties, cuff links, alterations and belts. In fact, there’s nothing you’ll want for. I used to shop in London, Saville Row and Jermyn Street but not any more. Hemmingway is my one stop and has been now for several years.
I cannot recommend them enough and urge you to make one of the best decisions of your life. Give Hemmingway Tailors a go and you’ll never go anywhere else.

I met Toby almost 7 years ago, and since then, he has made over 35 beautifully handcrafted suits, shirts and jackets for me. In fact, my entire wardrobe!

I recently had a suit made for my daughters wedding and the whole experience could not have been better. I had an initial consultation, which lasted about an hour. Toby helped me to choose a suitable fabric and took the necessary measurements. I went back a few weeks later and the fit is absolutely perfect. This is the first made to measure suit that I have owned and it has been well worth the money. I could not be happier with the service and the suit. Excellent service - I lost my pocket square a few days before my wedding. I spoke to Joanne over the phone, she was very friendly and she posted a replacement for me on the same day so that it would arrive before the wedding. Very happy with the customer service and would definitely order from here again.

It was so difficult to find a female tailor and one who was confident that he was able to make a suit from a design I had found from a photograph! From the moment I met Toby, I was immediately at ease and trusted him impeccably to make the wedding suit I thought would only be a dream. It was evident he was skilled, professional and goodness me, did he pull it off.
I felt a million dollars on my wedding day and the compliments continue to roll in.
The quality was exceptional and the cut was simply superb, certainly nothing I could of got off the hanger.
I will be forever indebted to Toby and it was an absolute pleasure sharing a special part of my life with him.

This was my first time buying a tailored suit and Toby was fantastic in suggesting what works and explaining what all well made suits should have. The fabrics he uses are of highest quality without being too pricey and the fit is just superb. I am naturally an awkward shape but Toby's experience made this suit look flattering. Toby keeps your measurements for any future work. I am sure I will be coming back for me next suit!

Item was as expected but packing was a cheap nasty crumpled card board box, would of expected something of a slightly better quality.
