Horrible Experience!!!
I made a reservation through AAA for a rental car, when I arrived to local office, they said they couldn't honor the price AAA had given me. They then tried to charge me double the price. I then decided to walked away. After I walked out the door, they dropped the price down some but still didn't honor the price from AAA. During the car pick up I was also told that the car needed to be free from smoking if not I would be charged $400. When I entered the car, it smells like weed and had a lighter on the floor of the driver side. I DO NOT smoke and do not want to be charged a smoking fee, but I didn’t have time to waste because I was on my way to work and I had already lost 2 hours. Due to all these issues and because I also wanted to change my drop off to an earlier date, I reached out to customer support live chat. But when I contacted the live chat, I was stuck waiting over 45min to be connected to a live agent because the AI couldn't solve my issue and I dropped the connection. I then called the following day to the customer service line and I was promised that once I returned the car I could call back and I would get compensated. They also said that the smoke smell was documented and that the early return date shouldn't be a problem and that I shouldn't be charged for the other days I didn’t use. When I went to return the car Friday morning, I DID get charged for 7 days although I only had the car for 2 days Picked up Wed at 2p and return Friday @11:30am). The agent at the local office were very smug and said they couldn't anything about it and I would have to get it corrected by calling the customer service line. I called again to the customer service line and was promised that the charges would all be removed I would get a FULL Refund. It has been 1 week since I returned the car and I have yet to receive a refund. I AM VEY DISSATISFIED WITH HERTZ!!!!!

Hello, I made a reservation online, came to get the car, and John said not available, need to pay extra for another size car. I walked out on uber. Thanks Hertz
