counter was fast - that was great. distance to the Hertz lot and lack of signage was not great. Car was fine, but rear right turn signal was out - so that was not ideal. Drop off was easy

The airport pick up counter was closed…
The airport pick up counter was closed prior to my flight landing. I was unable to pick up car and had to return the next morning to pick up my vehicle. There were no longer any e-vehicles available as requested on my reservation. It also cost me $55 dollars in Lyft fees to get from and back to the airport due to the vehicle not being available due to the closed rental counter.

Rethinking Hertz
Car was hard to find and more difficult to get out of the parallel spot. When I asked for help I was told to call the 1-800 number.

I WAS OVERCHARGED!!!!!
I WAS OVERCHARGED and they keep telling me via email that I wasn't. I believe all of these emails are computer generated and have been unable to get a telephone number where I may speak to a real person. I am a loyal, long time customer and so far for three days they have done nothing to resolve this issue to my satisfaction.

Some hits and some misses
I thought the car was really nice, but I did not appreciate paying more to rent a hybrid vehicle, and getting to the airport to find out that they did not have a hybrid vehicle. My car was good on gas mileage, but I specifically picked the selection for hybrid. The woman at the counter was nice and friendly, but I did not appreciate that I am a Hertz Gold member and there was a dedicated line for Hertz Gold members, but there was only one person at the counter, helping everybody from this Hertz Gold counter no matter what their issue. Also, my car was not available when I arrived, meaning the contract was not ready with the keys. This is why I stopped using Hertz in Santa Barbara in the past because there were so many issues and being a Gold member carried no weight.

I hate Hertz!
Every single time!!!!! I returned the car 12 hours ago and it's still showing as I'm renting it. I hate Hertz!!! Especially the Santa Barbara Airport location! Such unprofessional group of people working there and they always charge me for fuel even though I fill it up every single time! I'm definitely switching to National. So pissed, what a waste of time to call again which I've done hundreds of times, terrible company.
