Honest Burgers Avis 

I’ve decided to post this because as a treat for my kids who have all variously achieved lots of good things this week, we decided to splash out on a burger takeaway, and it as a huge, very expensive disappointment. We selected HONEST burgers Over other companies that my kids were angling for such as Burger King because I, like an idiot, assumed that the high prices and the meaning of their name was a guarantee of quality. It’s say I have now revised this naive assumption.

We ordered a ‘smashed’ burger (a beef burger), a couple of chicken burgers and two vegan burgers and lots of chips and onion rings. Overall the food was terrible.

I could not eat my shockingly awful smashed burger; it wouldn’t even have tasted nice if I myself had been smashed, but I am wondering whether that’s how they manage to get any decent reviews at all…? Is it because their clients are normally too drunk to be able to judge bad food for what it is? in which case, what an apt name. It was pathetic and didn’t look anything like the picture. There was no sauce, no cheese, nothing dripping out of it all, unlike in the photo. I wish I’d taken a picture. It tasted rancid, like the very bottom scrapings of last week’s beef.
My kids had the vegan burgers which they found underwhelming, but they were horrified as were we all by the really terrible cold, chewy chips, most of which were actually tiny little chippings of chips, not long slender sticks. Literally more like woodchips. (I did take a picture.) The chicken was ok, soft on the inside but it’s a copout to deep fry everything, just to disguise the true flavour. You end up with no flavour but salt and fat. It’s a cheap trick. Onion rings were light and crispy and very bland. After we had eaten our meal which cost nearly £100, we all felt miserable and unsatisfied.

I am honestly baffled as to how they have managed to get any stars at all. And it is a real insult to the name ‘honest’!

Had a meal with friends at honest burger at St Katherine Dock.

The burger was a bit dried and the chips were fine. The good thing is the stunning view and wind at St Katherine Dock.

Great food, great staff all round 10/10

This is their shop in Brixton. The chips were so salty they were inedible. There was no salt on the table so I guess they decide how much your food should be salted. As for the burger....it was one of the worst burgers I have ever had. The sweetness of the brioche bun would have been nice if the actual burger had tasted of anything - honestly it was tasteless. I like rare but this lump of meat hadn't been cooked enough for the meat juices to come out. All in all a very disappointing experience. I wouldn't advise going there!

Ordered a takeaway via their website, order was ready on time.
Ordered two burgers and a chicken pesto burger, lovely food and was still warm when we got back to the hotel.
This was at the Windsor cafe, much nicer and better value than the Bills restaurant round the corner. Would recommend.

Not only the burgers are delicious but the staff is incredible, Sumaya, Thomas and Murat make such a big difference with who they are. Will come back over and over again.

Honest Burgers are great. Great customer service and great burgers. We use the Brighton store and they are always so friendly and helpful.

Nasim, manager of Covent Garden was and is excellent. It’s my place to visit any time I am visiting London for work, coeliac safe & the staff are amazing. Highly recommended and exceptional service. It’s a must go to place for anyone who loves burgers and excellent service.

not very happy with my dinner today as i was waiting for over 1 hour for them to mess up my order and then come over blaming it on us saying ‘if u ever come back be clear on what you get’ and rolling her eyes. ended up leaving without any burgers!

I was in Camden Town restaraunt today and despite being told that the burger I ordered could be made gluten free, it turned out it wasn’t and I am now very sick and have been vomitting ever since! I would definitely not recommend this restaraunt if you are a ceoliac!

I’m so disappointed as today I went to Camden Town Honest Burger, as a coeliac I asked about gluten free options and was talked through how anything could be made coeliac friendly. It turns out that the burger I ordered was not gluten free, despite my requests. I’m now very sick and vomiting and can no longer enjoy the rest of my holiday. If you are coeliac I would not recommend this restaurant, and I will never be returning and will be telling the coeliac Facebook group I am part of, to forewarn them not to go here so the same thing doesn’t happen to them.

Honest burger absolutely superb service and even better food

Bravo Honest burger owners!!

Just finished our first ever Honest smashed burgers, sitting on the beach. The three of us agreed that they were the best burgers we have ever had. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Amazing.

Order food for the first time from honest burgers in Windsor via Uber eats.
After 40 mins wait I checked the tracking to find the driver had passed my house and delivered to other houses in the area.
I called the driver who informed me he was delivering and would drop off to me last.
Food was stone cold and items missing from the bag. I called the honest branch who said I could get a refund on the Uber ear app , like previous customers have stated there is no option on the Uber site.
The assistant offered to send a full replacement !! Over an hour later I was still waiting and re called the branch again. Was told the delivery had just left ! Nearly one and half hours later the food arrived , again stone cold. Disgusting service, would never shop there again or use Uber eats !
Honest burgers , sort you systems out otherwise you will continue to lose more customers !

Honest burger Cambridge. Excellent service and lovely food.

Ordered through Uber eats, food took so long to come, freezing cold & looked disgusting. I’ve taken lots of pictures, never ever seen anything like this. The burger is burnt & the so called chips OMG. AWFUL ,Awful 🤮. Of course this meal was not eaten. I wish I could show photos.

Chiswicj Branch: Ordered at 18.51 and was told would be sent out at 19.29. Called them at 20.00 to ask where it was and was told it had been in the hot box for 20 mins. Told them this was not good enough and asked for a full refund and was told I would have to take that up with Uber Eats. I said I didn't order from Uber Eats I ordered from you to which the man on the phone siad he was too busy and put the phone down. Tried to call back but they must have taken the phone off the hook. Food turned up cold at 20.20. Nowhere on the website does it mention refund and I haveno idea where to look on the Uber Eats website. Food cost £51.00. Ridiculous service, avoid. Will be going in to the shop when they open tomorrow.

Why so many bad reviews? they make great burgers and the service is always fast and efficient. Probably the only place you get value for your money in London

Not sure why so many negative comments. I have not experienced any thin meat paddies or poor customer service. It's the best burger I have eaten in The UK so far. It's also affordable!
