Incorrect stock, damaged stock is frustrating

have a web site with prices you get charged in the trade but take no notice of those prices and just charge what every individual branch wants to charge , then when quizzed about it just lie to you, closing my account when paid off. Lockwood and Sowerby bridge

Poor customer service some parts not delivered on time then when they were they were added to the bill after. Best in mind the missing parts were paid for in with the price. Non existence customer service. Had an awful time will not use howdens again. Joiner will not trade again either.

Staff and service all good.
However £60 for a 4.2metre length of 5” VENEERED oak skirting is ridiculous.
As it happened it was of no use for the job I wanted it for my fault as I measured incorrectly.
I went to another local timber merchants and for less money and the same length I got a 6” wider piece of full oak not veneered skirting.
Not sure I will be using Howdens again as your prices are getting silly.

PS. New Holmfirth site was where purchase was made but don’t have that option as only just opened so had to put Lockwood Huddersfield which is the nearest one.

Just wanting to let others know what a first class experience we had from Howdens at Lockwood, Huddersfield. Their service from first to finish was nothing but first class, looking after their customers. us, at every step of the way.
Massive thank you to Kirsty on the Design team for all your patience. Matty for handling the smooth arrivals of the goods on time and listening and catering to our last minute needs.
We would highly recommend every time.

If I could give them zero stars I would. There customer service is appalling. They have taken an order and invoiced at one price but I could not take delivery before xmas they have told me the prices are going yo be massively inflated in January, even though 99% of the stock is in the ware house at huddersfield and the 1% which comes into stock in January is on this years invoice st this years price. This is them blackmailing customers do that they can meet their end of year targets. Spoke to trading standards they have said this practice is illegal. Have now managed to get the ceos email.

Called in just this evening, late, just as they were shutting shop, but desperate to sort out an issue no one else seemed capable of doing.
They saved the day. 👍
Brilliant customer care, wonderful bunch of lads, nothing was too much trouble.

First class service @ Lockwood, Huddersfield Branch, fantastic staff and excellent coffee !!

I ordered a kitchen from Howdens Colne Road Lockwood Huddersfield early 2019 I told the lady who came to measure up I think her name was Catherine that we were also planning to go away on holiday in the summer for a week, she asked me whether I had considered leaving my plumber to fit the kitchen whilst I was away and after having a a think about it I agreed it would be a good idea because we would be away from all the chaos etc.
All I can say is it was the worst decision I have ever made the kitchen was fitted in July 2019 whilst we were away on holiday then later on that year towards Christmas time I asked someone to come in and clean my oven well this completely opened a real can of worms because the guy put his torch on inside the oven and brought to my attention the fact that there was rust inside the oven the light was cracked he said to me are you sure this was a brand new oven? I brought my dissatisfaction to the attention of the manager at Howdens Lockwood he arranged for his engineer to come and replace the rusted parts but when the guy finished he dropped something inside the oven which caused some paint to flake off and all we could see from where the paint had flaked off was rust completely underneath the paint so we realised we had been sold a refurbished oven when I paid for a brand new oven I tried to bring this to the attention of the manager once again but he just did not want to know.
A friend of mine suggested I should have taken them through the small claims court but due to health issues I decided to leave it but I really feel I need to make people aware that this is a very shady company. I went away on holiday and put my trust in them and they brought me a refurbished oven.
All I can say to people is if you are having a kitchen fitted from this company do not go on holiday and watch their every move when goods are delivered.

Rubbish advertising best local price! But sold me pine stair parts for price of oak ones when told of the errors wouldn’t sort it out and mangers attitude was appalling!
