Howdens - North Colchester Avis 

Superb service and products. The kitchen was complicated but with help from Nick and the rest of the team at Howdens, Colchester the installation went smoothly and the end result is amazing.
We still have various tradesmen on site and everyone comments on the quality because if looks so “high-end”!!!!

First class staff at the Cowdrey Avenue site

We purchased our kitchen from howdens last June, we had the kitchen fully designed by our kitchen designer at the Colchester Hawkins Road branch, all I can say is please beware of the hidden extras and the information they do NOT tell you, we paid £1200 for a corner walkin larder, which our designer was fully aware of the intended purpose for this unit, I made it very clear I wanted and needed shelves for my larder unit, these in turn were not provided and we were advised that we had to pay extra and makeshift this unit to be functional which meant purchasing a separate package to make it!! I have complained to howdens and was told this was basically my issue as it wasn't part of our order! Again horrific customer service. the designer failed to inform us of this at any point! Instead i had to pay a carpenter over £1000 to make the inside of my larder unit, We also had major issues with the size of cabinets provided and had to order and wait for different sizes because the designer oversized the units that would fit in our space, I have since tried to get pegs to hold the shelves and shelves to put in the tall units that howdens claim are extra charges! Who knew that 2.1m units come without shelves! Also the quality of there top end, hand painted doors are nothing to rave about, they are lightweight definatley not how they were sold to us! All in all I would just makesure if you shop at howdens you double check everything or shop else where if you want zero stress free easy kitchen units!

I have been enjoying my new kitchen for six months now and really wanted to share my experience of Howdens with other customers. From pre-sale to post-sale, Amber at Colchester North was able to guide me through the wide range of materials and finishes available, quickly turn around drawings and make subsequent adjustments, come to my property all the way to London to measure my room (Magnet would t!). My kitchen is super practical and has all the features I wanted although I didn’t have much space to play with, the cost was competitive based on the finishes I chose and the result has wowed my friends, family and me. I couldn’t recommend Howdens Colchester North more, great team at reception and on the phone, quick to respond to emails too. I was considering Wren and Magnet at the same time but the quality of service I received in the early stages of the process made me choose Howdens. I highly recommend.

Always a great service from Carl and the whole team at Howdens North Colchester. They all go above and beyond to help me out. Any problems that do arise are always sorted out immediately. Deliveries are always on time and delivery driver helps unload van which is very handy. The guys in the warehouse are very organized with jobs being pre picked before collecting :)

Zac had some fantastic ideas with the design and helped throughout the build to check dimensions. The rest of the team at north colchester were very helpful with deliverys or exchanges.
