Initialparking Avis 

I was sent a parking charge letter for being 9 mins 33secs over my period of parking. Totally unaware that they start charging your period of parking from the moment your car passes the automatic camera on entry! I paid for 2 hours parking in good faith, returned to my car within my paid 2 hours on the ticket but 9 mins 33secs later than when my car drove into the car park.
Ridiculous! Have appealed- where is the 10 minute 'grace period' that all 'reputable' private carparks should offer according to their Codes of Practice? Where is the 5 minute 'consideration period' ?
Not impressed at all.

Initial Parking, you input registration into machine, pay via cash/card then a week later get a fine saying you parked without paying. No details of car reg are printed on the ticket and when you appeal the fine including evidence of ticket plus proof of purchase they claim you input wrong details. They say you can appeal to POPLA but in the meantime will pass your debt to a Debt Agency. In my opinion this company are carrying out a Scam BE VERY CAREFUL

Despicable company, whist visiting my son in hospital in Harrogate, he was allowed three hours leave, we spent time driving to Ripley. On our return he had a panic attack and wanted me to stop the car,Unfortunately the nearest entrance was Ripley castle car park, this is an area I had never been too, my only concern was for my Son, After calming him down we exited the car park after 17 minutes, Apparently you get 15 minutes free, given the circumstance, I did not notice any parking signs. I Appealed the parking fine and they asked for proof of this .mitigating claim, I forwarded a letter from the Hospital stating my Son did suffer panic attacks and anxiety as part of his Mental health, They rejected my claimon.the grouds I should have read the signs.I'm just thankful my Son was o.k, I have read other reviews and nearly all are negative ,
I really think they are a scam company, and don't deserve one star

Disgraceful attitude taken by this company. I parked in Abersoch and waited for a machine to become free just over 5 minutes. All payment machines were "out of order" so I spent the next 10 minutes trying to download the App. Unfortunately no signal on my mobile, so I had to abort that process. At this point I decided to exit the car park and find a spot elsewhere. I have since received a £60.00 fine for what....The lack of maintenance of their machines by their staff. There is no option to challenge the snap response to my appeal so I have paid the fine.
Beware all.... this company are basically extortionists!

Wow - just shows what kind of company this is to completely ignore all these negative reviews and carry on with their poor practices. We parked at Holywell Bay in Cornwall, next to the Gull's Rock Inn. We paid in cash for our ticket as there was no phone signal and we didn't over-stay our time. As our car is a lease hire we didn't receive the PCN until weeks after it was issued. I was going to appeal the but unfortunately we threw away our machine ticket when we sorted the car after our holiday. I have tried to pay the fine online and by phone but the automated systems say it can't find our PCN. I've emailed them but I'm not hopeful of a reply. Just waiting for a letter to come through now from the debt collectors. I do wonder if the Gulls Rock Inn is aware of the impact this company is having on their customers - or if they even care?

I provided all the details (copy of the ticket, bank transaction etc) to prove I had paid. They offered to reduce it to £20 IF THEY DO TAKE THIS OPTION I didn't I went to POPLA and lost my appeal and had to pay £60
Whilst as a business they have suffered no financial loss I still had to pay. ITS A JOKE if I see its an INITIAL car park again ill go to a different car park

Parked in Mill Lane Caernarfon, tried to pay at the machine, rejected payment 3 times, kept going back to details screen. Daughter said she could pay online, so she filled all the detils in, paid the charge with apple pay £1.60 for 2 hours .. took a screenshot of what time parking finished, we only stayed around 40 mins in the end.
I get a parking charge through the post , £60 for non payment going up to £100. I appeal this, they ask for receipt..turns out you are meant to confirm on email, there was no indication of this online. Appeal rejected, Initial.Parking are total see you next tuesdays.. why would anyone try to avoid paying £1.60 , seriously!?
I will avoid all Initial car parks moving forward.

A week ago I parked at Abersoch Village Hall Car Park and paid for 3 hours parking with cash. The machine gave me a ticket and I displayed it and returned within the 3 hours.
A few days later I received a fine for not entering my registration plate in the machine. I didn’t ask me to and I got a ticket.
I appealed and they refused saying it was my error. I could pay £60 and if I appealed again. I would have to pay £100. Absolutely disgusting. Do not use this carpark or any initial parking. It’s a scam.

Disgrace of a company. Charging from when you arrive and not from when you eventually find a working machine and have queued up.
Don't go to Caernarfon full stop. Don't deserve the patronage. Went to see the Western Reef Heron which the place was extremely fortunate to benefit from and thus drew hundreds of visitors.
I paid to park for 4 hours. Fined me for being 20 minutes too long in the car park, due to a queue on the machine and not all machines working.
Won't visit the area again.

I parked my car, not in a parking place, but on the quayside to load up my car after a yacht charter, in Falmouth. This where the charter company advised us to load/unload, which is what I was doing. I was in possession of a parking ticket, where I parked for a week for £29! however this joke of a company sent a quite aggressive letter for £100 charge for twenty minutes to load up my car! To say I’m not happy is an understatement! I look forward to getting even one day!

I'm a landlord and have one of there Ipad machines in my pub. I've got 3 penalty notices which they refuse to wipe even though I live here. So I will pay the notices and used my business head and have put up posters advertising free parking for 12 hours if registration is entered onto Ipad. Going to cost this company alot more than the tickets

Fraudulent company how it is allowed to trade is beyond words.
I parked in Haworth went to the machine paid my ticket on my phone so had the proof the machines are such a nightmare to use and the numbers stick. Low and behold letter to say not paid sent the proof of purchase but they said only part my reg was entered so still fining me despite evidence they fail to respond you can’t call them airs all just a money making scam. This company need taking to the BPA which I will be writing to as I have paid a reduced fine but find it appauling that I have to pay anything when I actually paid to park in the 1st place.

This company are a disgrace. The ticket machine doesn't accept your full reg number - but does take payment. A week later you receive a £60 fine for not keying in your full registration number. If you appeal the fine with ticket and bank balance proof it is still rejected based on the full reg number not being keyed in. This is a faulty machine not faulty customers.

I was penalized for an overstay of just 5 minutes. They didn’t allow enough time to locate the parking meter, read the terms, and purchase a ticket. A greedy company with zero human element. Do yourself a favor and park elsewhere.

I parked on 20 frances St called Frances Street Car Park which was a very sneaky private car park who want to scam you and grab your money. They have no sympathy for you and mislead you with the signage shown TWICE that is on the front gate of the car park. I would highly advise to not park here, the people from "initialparking" company are completely unreasonable, very sneaky and have zero consistency between the signage at the gate of the car park in stated twice different locations and the JUSTPARK app. On the sign it CLEARLY says, £3 for 3 hours after 7pm. When you go to the app it says £3.50 for 2 hours. It confuses you to think which one is correct, is it the sign at the car park or is it what the app says? I paid the £3.50 thinking that the sign on-site is correct. I received a PCN for running 30 minutes over, even though on their sign is says in plain black writing £3 for 3 hours. I had to pay £60 and got zero explanation as to why there is this inconsistency between the justpark app and their actual physical sign. I would suggest park at NCP where you have honest people and consistency between sign on site and the app.

Paid in cash at Mousehole car park as couldn’t get a signal. Stayed 20 minutes. Didn’t keep parking ticket and subsequently received a demand for £60. As I had no physical evidence my appeal was rejected. Lesson: if you have to use this company keep your ticket as proof. They seem to be either totally inefficient or totally corrupt!

Sent an email saying we didn't pay, Wanted £100, we did and proved it, the stupid machine, that they own, added two extra letters on, so then They said we had to pay £20 we went to appeal it but of course the appeal is just run by them not by a third-party and said if we don't pay it within 14 days we have to pay £60. You're getting your £20, I hope you choke on it you absolute scumbags. The eighth circle of hell's waiting for you.

Slate quay car park by Caernarfon Castle, do not use, you will get a parking ticket, read all the reviews!
They scan your car on entry and when leaving, so if you for example buy a ticket for two hours and you leave within those two hours as printed on the ticket, it makes no difference.

I paid cash for 2 hours parking in Lowther st Carlisle . The machine didn’t issue a ticket which I thought was strange . I then got fined because inital parking said I had only paid an hour! How can I prove this . I can’t . It’s a sham . Very unfair
