Inspirato Avis 

Inspirato used to be an excellent service, but the experience has declined significantly. The property inventory is shrinking, trip durations are being shortened, and availability has become extremely limited. Furthermore, their customer service quality has plummeted to unacceptable levels. I recommend saving your money and planning your own trips instead.

Disaster. Sales people over sold the value.

I used to love Inspirato years ago but it has gotten worse and worse! They went from an inventory of beautiful hotels and homes on Pass which were available all the time to basically very few locations you can visit in the off season. It’s absolutely terrible. They have homes in the Caribbean and Florida available during hurricane season or homes in the ski areas during summer, Places like Phoenix are available during summer when it’s a 120 deg yet there is nothing great anymore for selection the to last minute traveler. It’s redundant how many times can you go to Costa Rica or Cabo, that’s the majority of the availability. The program has really gone downhill and definitely is not worth the membership. They recently took over 50 properties off the Pass list. They should give everyone a refund for this nonsense.

We've been Inspirato members for 5 years, first with just the Club Membership later with a combined Club + Pass Membership. The Club used to be included complimentary with the Pass Membership, but that benefit was removed. It's now $7,500 to add Club to your $40,000 Pass Membership.

As others have mentioned, the membership value has dropped significantly in recent years, and even more so within the past few months. Following their recent merger with Exclusive Resorts (which offers a large buy-in with only a pay-per-night model), it feels like Inspirato is shifting in that direction. For example, several homes were available within Pass in Grand Cayman, St. Kitts & Grenada. There are now ZERO homes within Pass in these destinations, yet they are available on a pay-per-night basis with the Club. There has also been substantial reductions in Jamaica, Turks & Caicos, Costa Rica, Kohala Coast-Hawaii, Aspen and Rosemary Beach. There is still plenty of availability in these destinations, just not with the Pass Membership. It’s also worth noting, these homes were removed secretly without any notification from Inspirato. They just “disappeared” from the inventory. This reminds me of a shady timeshare tactic, not a luxury vacation company.

We are extremely flexible with our travel plans, and yet we're finding it very difficult to use our membership this year. As one member put it - you have to be willing to travel to "Costa Rica in the summer and Tuscany in the winter." It’s disappointing to watch the Pass program shrink while the same inventory is still accessible if you’re willing to pay the high nightly rates via the Club

I also wouldn't recommend the Club Membership. After the buy-in, you get nothing but the “privilege” of accessing the portfolio at pay-per-night rates. You can easily find similar (or better) homes through other luxury management companies without any upfront fee. The available portfolio bears little resemblance to the portfolio when we joined. Sadly, we will not be renewing our membership.

Worst company. The way they treat their people is awful. They are such a disconnected service model for their customers. If I could give them zero stars I would

IF I COULD LEAVE NO STARS, I WOULD. THESE PEOPLE ARE scandalous and TOOK MY FRIEND FOR A LOT OF MONEY. AT LEAST THIS COMPANY COULD DO IS REFUND A PORTION, BUT NO, THEY REFUSE.

I tried to cancel my membership after 5 years and they told me sorry, you need to give us 30 day notice to get refunded on your $4200 yearly fee. I called the day they hit my credit card..Terrible company and it's not worth the price...Is there an advocate group I can contact?

Inspirato was great when we first signed up. They ended up changing a lot of things which lost the value of the pass. When we attempted to cancel, we had to wait 30 days which is fine but once that 30 days was help theyre still charging me and its been 60 days and $5k later after those 30 days. They keep saying they're going to cancel and refund but they have yet to.

Total scam. Bought a 3 night stay and unable to use it anywhere. I tried looking at numerous locations over numerous months. Nothing available ever, anywhere.

Very bad availability. Cancellation policy is excessively punitive. You can actually get lower rates at hotels by not using inspirato.

They are a SCAM! There is a great chance they will keep your money and not allow you to book. The CEO (Brent Handler) and management only care about lining their pockets.

BRENT stepped down and ran up massive amounts of debt, left the company at a valuation of $34 million dollars, and stole millions of dollars from investors. But, in leaving, he gave himself a half million dollars, paid insurance, and 100k in paid vacations.

Also, gave the VP almost 1 million to leave and threw in a gag clause...
