Starting a nonprofit is one of the most meaningful things a person can do, and we never want the process to feel harder than it has to. When it does, that's on us to fix - and we take that seriously.
We want to be clear for anyone reading this: our team is made up of real, dedicated people who genuinely care about the founders we work with. Every step of Jeana's filing was handled by human specialists - not bots, not automation doing the heavy lifting. Articles approved in 4 days. A 1023-EZ submitted and on its way to the IRS. Real work, real people, real results.
Where we fell short was communication and responsiveness during key moments of the process. Jeana deserved faster, clearer updates - and we've taken that feedback directly to the team.
We do want to note for accuracy: the delay in completing the process was tied to EIN obtainment - an EIN that had actually already been issued and wasn't on our end to control. These things happen in the filing process, and our job is to guide founders through them clearly. That's where we could have done better.
For anyone reading this who's considering starting a nonprofit: the process can be fast, straightforward, and genuinely affordable. Our average IRS approval on the short form is around 17 days. You don't need to navigate it alone - and you shouldn't have to.
One note for transparency: our 3-pay plan clearly states at checkout that IRS filing begins once all fees are collected. That's not fine print - it's posted before purchase. We always want our founders making fully informed decisions.

A fantastic experience!

In 2016 I was so overwhelmed with starting my nonprofit that I called them for help. I was new to the sector and really needed guidance and lots of questions answered. I was so glad to find out that Christian was still the CEO. He was the most helpful person that I had ever encountered.
