This is the worst certification place EVER!!!!!!!
Unfortunately I have to deal with those people. Website is extremely slow and terrible. Support is a ZERO, Z-E-R-O!!!!

I have been a member in good standing of ISC(2) for 22 years. Over the past 5 years I have watched as fees steadly increase without any improvement in services. They have eliminated many, if not all, of the in person meetings and other great benefits of being a member. They have exploded the number of certifications, effectively watering down the meaning of all.

Today, I called and asked about the emeritus status as I have been retired for over a year. One of the qualifications, is that you can not be working in any form in the infosec field. Yet, they require you to have completed CPE (continuing professional education) requirements for recertification. My question to them was, why do I need to have cpe when I must be fully retired?

I am very disappointed after having given so much to ISC(2) for 22 years to end this way. If I were new to the field, I wouldn't bother with any of their certifications.

Don't work her as a volunteer they are a scam misleading company as on there Google business review page say they are permanently closed means out of business and they still acting like they still own the building and they don't I sing up and they ran my background check and then they hired me and I did all there training online to work in the field and then they next day they have permanently banned my account and deleted it for no reason and then fired me on the spot this means war as I will sue you in court for discrimination towards disability people and fired them for no reason and throw them under the bus and then you try to scam me saying in order to work her is I have to pay as a membership there no business company in the US that dose this ad voluntary is non paid job this means a red flag warning as not a safe company to work as they are breaking multiple laws and regulations for this thanks for wasting my time for nothing and I will take my business elsewhere I don't do business that break the law.

So far an unbelievably bad and completely unnecessarily bureaucratic experience, would not recommend.

In simple words this is an examination scam.

They are almost dead with all means. The technology adopted to conduct test and examination is non calibrated. Complaints are not takenup seriously.

I have seen chapters and members are less. They are struggling to get more members, despite of that i believe paying membership fee or doing certification from this body is not recognised even properly.

I have used ISC2 on two separate occasions to book two different training courses for two different clients, and both experiences were extremely poor.

The first time, we opted to pay via invoice. We were told their invoicing system was “broken” and had to wait weeks just to receive the invoice. When it finally arrived, the bank details provided were for a US bank account, which we were unable to transfer to. We had specifically asked for UK bank details and were reassured this would not be an issue — yet that is exactly what happened.

The second time, I booked a £1,400 training course through my personal account with the clear intention of allocating the training to my client. I spoke to multiple members of staff beforehand who assured me this would be possible. After purchasing, I discovered the training could not be allocated, and no one seems able to explain how to resolve this. I have been repeatedly told someone would call me back, but I have heard nothing.

The lack of communication, incorrect information, and overall customer service has been incredibly frustrating. Based on my experience, this deserves less than one star.

Website glitched and didn't let me use a voucher.

It has been 7 weeks since I put in a refund request but still no word for a "Professional CyberSecurity" company you would think their support would be good...

The certification content itself has value, but the pricing model is extremely disappointing. Exam fees are very high (over $700), and the requirement to repeatedly pay for renewals and maintenance every few years makes it feel excessive. Instead of supporting professionals, the process comes across as more focused on recurring revenue than long-term value.

Overall, the cost structure feels unreasonable for what is being offered.

The exam contains many trick questions and they are very different from the ones in the course quizzes. The online course for €184 that included the exam (with 2 tries) did not include a text version of all the modules covered in the course, which made it almost impossible to search for a particular information as some information was buried in the videos and other scattered in individual slides (a big mess). Upon exam completion you get a physical A4 sheet saying, "that you have provisionally passed the Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) examination" (or failed). This letter does not include any information on passing rate. After a few days ISC2 sends you an email saying: "Once your application has been submitted, your endorsement has been approved and you’ve paid your first AMF, you’ll become an ISC2 member and join a global community of cybersecurity professionals." Apparently, this certificate and yearly membership costs additional €50. The whole thing looks like a money racket. They claim to be industry standard but are not providing full text information for all course subscribers. Also, I have put some of the course questions in and AI app which gave me different answer than the ISC2 material. They are not transparent, and exam questions are vague.

Can't even log in to access a free course in cyber security. Its a scam! wasted 1 hour trying to sort out my candidate account and still unable to log in.

I am very disappointed with ISC2 Customer Service, they need to refund exam fee and kept me waiting almost two months. pwhite from CS team promising to refund the payment every week.

I failed to sign up right at the beginning. There is no button that takes you further after entering your credentials

I paid ISC2 for an exam on 10th May, but have been completely unable to schedule it because their booking system is broken. Despite repeated attempts to contact customer support, I’ve received no meaningful help—just vague responses blaming “technical issues.”

When I raised the concern that it’s unethical to keep accepting payments while the booking system doesn’t work, I was told, “It’s not unethical, it’s technical.” That’s not good enough. If you take people’s money, you have a duty to provide the service—or at the very least, inform them of the issue before

Very disappointed, and I would strongly advise others to avoid paying for any ISC2 exams until they fix their systems and become more transparent.

I ordered the wrong product. I was told I would get a refund, so I ordered the right one again afterwards. After a month, I still haven't received a refund. Be careful you will not get any refunds!!!

After subscription for the free CC certification, they spam you many times a week, no "unsubscribe" link appears in their emails, the customer support can't do anything about that, postpone my account deletion again and again. Maybe it's legal in USA but in Europe we have the GDPR, so this behavior is by definition illegal

Recently completed the Certified in Cybersecurity course and thought it was great for a freebie. Recommended to a few pals but have just seen the exam is no longer free, so I marked you down a star.
