⭐ 1 star – A very frustrating experience from start to finish

I ordered an Alpicool Adventurer AD50 12v Fridge Freezer from Jackson’s Leisure Supplies, with delivery scheduled for Monday.

It never arrived.

Since Monday, I have had to contact Jackson’s every day to chase the order because they have failed to provide any proactive updates. I have received no meaningful communication to reassure me about when my order would actually arrive.

I needed the fridge freezer for this weekend, so eventually I was left with no realistic option other than to order a replacement from another supplier.

The situation has now become even more frustrating because I no longer need the Jackson’s item, yet they are refusing to refund me until FedEx complete their investigation.

I understand that parcels can sometimes go missing or be delayed, but what I find unacceptable is being expected to carry the financial consequences of an issue involving the retailer’s courier. My issue is with Jackson’s, not FedEx. I paid Jackson’s for the product and should not be left out of pocket while they investigate the whereabouts of a parcel with their delivery company.

The complete lack of communication has made an already frustrating situation considerably worse. If Jackson’s had kept me properly informed, I could at least have understood what was happening and made alternative arrangements sooner.

Instead, I have spent days chasing an order, had to spend additional money buying the product elsewhere, and am now being told I have to wait for their courier investigation before I can get my money back.

In my opinion, this is very poor customer service and an extremely disappointing way to handle a failed delivery.

I would not recommend Jackson’s Leisure Supplies based on this experience. I certainly won’t be ordering from them again.

We ordered an awning, over £1100 worth, still not recd 6 days later, chased several times as still not recd, eventually it turned up(after 3 phone calls) no instructions, spend 2 hours unpacking and trying to work out why it didn't fit, only to find that they had sent us the wrong one!! It is now over a week from sending it back, no refund recd, chased yesterday, they didn't have an answer, said would call back, no call back, chased again today, they still don't know where it is, even though they arranged to pick up!! Eventually phoned back, now refunded but said may take 10 days to show in bank account, absolute rubbish, banking transfers are immediate nowadays. A very unhappy customer, who will not use them again

My dad ordered a brand-new Vitrifrigo C50i fridge from Jacksons Leisure for nearly £600 for me. Unfortunately, when it arrived and I opened the packaging, I found that the fridge itself had been damaged, despite the external packaging appearing to be completely fine.

Initially, I was disappointed with Jacksons' response, as they offered £50 for us to keep the damaged appliance. Their reasoning was that the damage wouldn't be visible once the fridge was installed. However, I had paid nearly £600 for a brand-new product, so I didn't feel this was an acceptable solution.

After requesting a replacement, Jacksons eventually arranged for a new fridge to be sent out, and I'm pleased to say that it has now arrived in good working order. I'm much happier now that the issue has been resolved.

That said, I do feel the communication could have been slightly better, and I wish a replacement or full refund had been offered from the outset, rather than initially offering £50 to keep a damaged appliance.

Overall, I'm pleased with the outcome, but I hope Jacksons can improve how they handle situations like this in the future.

We are new to motor-homing (although not camping). We acquired our new (to us) vehicle in July and I had been planning improvements and additions from the moment we put down the deposit.

Once I got it home, the list got a little longer and, during my research for parts and spares, I discovered Jacksons. They aren't too far away from me, and we visited on a grand day out to acquire items for the motorhome.

It was a bit strange walking into what still appeared to be a warehouse- despite the obvious displays and counter- but we were soon at ease, enquiring about several items that were competitively priced here.

What we spent was not pocket change but learned that some people spend A LOT here, on full conversions, and it isn't hard to see why. The service was very friendly and I was helped through some of my confusion and indecision by the patient staff. I did get everything I wanted. I have since mail-ordered a TV bracket as well.

Unfortunately, there was a problem with one of the products. It was minor, and simply required a replacement component rather than a whole unit sending out. This was all sorted quite quickly and I was kept informed throughout the wait. Everything is now working fine,

I have often said that the time you find out how good customer service is is when you actually have a problem. Jacksons was just brilliant. Thank you.

Terrible service. Be very careful ordering, their website will return results on all words in your search terms even if you are searching for a specific product. Ordered the wrong fridge by mistake because of this as all the product photos and names are so similar. A simple fix for the website would be to return product not found if they don't stock the actual model searched for! The delivery was just dumped on the lawn, no contact at all from the courier in advance or on delivery, returned home to find it there. I had to pay for the return which took 10 days to sort out as no courier would take it due to it being a fridge. They finally arranged for it to be collected but it took a further 13 days to sort out the refund, I had to repeatedly chase it, it didn't happen automatically. The whole process has taken over a month to sort out and repeated emails chasing. Absolutely shocking customer service.

I needed a new downlighter bulb for my caravan bathroom. Jackson Leisure had just what I wanted and delivered it quickly. I will be fitting it next time we go out in it.

Bought Thule side and front rain covers for my motorhome. Spoke with an advisor before buying and was advised on correct product.
Very competitive price and excellent delivery. Would definitely use Jackson's Leisure again.

I needed a fridge quickly. I have previously bought from Jacksons Leisure Supplies, so knew they were good value and reliable. Within 3 days I had a lovely little fridge that was very nice and as described and safely delivered. I found them easy to get in touch with and they responded quickly and politely. Overall, I would strongly recommend them as good suppliers of quality items at value for money prices.

Bought Thule rain panels which were significantly cheaper than anywhere else and which arrived super fast. The panels are great, easy to fit and give the motorhome a huge amount of additional living space.

Ordered on Wednesday 26th August.
Was told it would be with me possibly next day. Was finally delivered Thursday 3rd of September to the wrong address 1/4 mile away. Only found this out by ringing Friday morning to cancel the order, I was asked if I'd mind getting it from the other address. I was away working so asked my son to go and see if it was still there, it was, he managed to drag it 1/4 mile home as was a 2 man lift and wouldn't fit in his car!
All round a complete nightmare, I feel sorry for the people who have to deal with finding where people's orders are as it seems the delivery/dispatch is failing.
