Jeakins Removals Avis 

Jeakins moved us from Essex to Devon. Every member of the team we dealt with on the phone and in person, were friendly, professional, helpful and proactive. They were also frank and reassuring. It did feel like a friendly family business and I was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency with which they worked. We were fully accommodated with our own needs, having 2 small children to move, so were able to leave the team to pack up on the first day. Of the quotes we got, Jeakins were by far the cheapest but we were not let down by the quality of the removal process from start to finish. I thank my friend who recommended Jeakins to us, and will be recommending onwards to anyone else needing removal services. Thank you Jeakins for helping us move to our new family home.

I moved my elderly Aunt from Cambridge to a Residential Home in Essex and what can I say. Faultless. We had Paul and Kyle do the removals and they were excellent. They took great care with all the old oak furniture and layed blankets all through the house to ensure that they weren't damaged.

Now onto the other end. They were quick yet very careful. Moved furniture, sofas, beds too many times than we can count where we couldn't decide where to put it! They didn't once complain. Both Paul and Kyle were lovely guys and very considerate.

Will definitely be using Jeakins again!

This is the second time I have used Jeakins Removals in two and half years, and whilst there was a minor issue with getting packing boxes delivered in time, meaning that not everything was boxed-up when they arrived, the two-man removal team were able to assist me in that regard and I can't fault them for their efficiency and work effort, only taking a well-earned short break once everything was loaded up. The delivery to the new address was equally as efficient, meaning that everything was completed by mid-afternoon. I find moving a highly stressful experience, and the fact that Jeakins can complete it so smoothly and quickly is greatly appreciated.

the one star rating is a joke about this company, eighteen months ago I was moved to my new home by them the worst experience of my life, today I have had a company laying new carpets, they couldn't believe the way our beds had been left, screws missing, hydraulic lift for the divan support destroyed, thanks Jeakins!!!!!!!!

Could not fault Jeakins, everything from when they came to do a quote, answering phone calls/email, the packing service, and the removal on the day was absolutly 5*.

Great service from Jeakins at a reasonable price. Three man team moved us to our new home. We had a LOT of boxes and furniture and they worked really hard loading and unloading the vans. It was a long day but they helped lessen the stress of the move! Would recommend this company.

Do NOT use this company!!! Terrible service didn’t supply large enough vehicle office manager did not respond to myself or staff on the day, my beautiful oak furniture was smashed and it has taken 8 moths for insurance to sort out at a very large financial lost Michelle part owner was very unhelpful this company is no longer working to the standards of Mr Jeakins based he’s company on very sad indeed

Great service from initial meeting right through to moving day. We had Barry & Dave who were professional, knowledgeable and all round good fun and made the day a lot less stressful. There were constant check ins from the team over the course of the weeks leading up to the move. Even a slight hiccup regarding wardrobes was rectified immediately. Can highly recommend.

Two day move, day 1, Jamie & Carl, loaded the biggest truck and worked liked Trojans as we had a 6 bed house. Day 2, 2nd truck and William, Paul, Jamie and Scott arrived to finish loading. Great teams! All done and off we went to Suffolk. Unloading was an adventure as we were downsizing - not phased, the guys unloaded and brought everything in with care and a jovial demeanor which helped us with our daunting experience. All in all, a huge shout out to, Jamie, Carl, William, Paul, & Scott, what an absolute pleasure you were. Many thanks, would not hesitate to recommend Jeakins, fairly priced and great staff. Good job all!

Including the office staff, it was lovely to meet a team that knew what they were doing, worked hard and were so happy doing it. Although we packed ourselves, there were a few things that we did not know how to tackle. Our removal team were more than happy to pack these themselves - nothing was too much trouble. We were in our new home by 15:30hrs without mishap. Thank you Jeakins and I would highly recommend you to anyone that asked.

10/10 Could not fault Jeakins Removals from start to finish. They were very quick from the first phone call to come out and view our house for an estimate quote for removal to our new house in Colchester. With less than 2 weeks notice from our exchange to completion they were very helpful in booking us in.
On the day of the move the removal men turned up on time and were very quick in loading up all of our belongings with ease. No damage was done to any walls or doors and their carpeting was put down to protect the carpets. We had a lot of heavy fragile items but was not a problem for any of the guys. They were very efficient in their loading of the van we were loaded up within 3hrs for a 3bedroom house. Once we arrived at the new house they were again very efficient in unloading our belongings to the relevant rooms with no damage done to the house or our belongings. They had to navigate a narrow staircase and landing but was not a problem.
We could not fault them at all. If we were to move again I wouldn’t hesitate in using them again!

This was my first time moving. From the initial call for a quote through to the removal I felt totally confident with Michelle and the team. I was kept informed regarding times of arrival etc and they were so patient with all my questions. The removal team worked so hard on the day and done a great job. Thank you

Such a bad experience with this company I would not recommend them. We moved from Essex to lincolnshire and they were supposed to deliver our belongings the same day, then it changed to the day after, then the week after. Finally 3 weeks later they delivered it. When they came a porter was missing so my husband had to help unload everything.
Such bad communication from the office.
We are so disappointed with this company.
