2 hour 45 min round trip to view a car which had been in “excellent condition” as per walk round video on the 17th August 2026. Car had several noticeable chips on several different parts, around 10 separate chips all over the bonnet on the 18th August. Total waste of time wouldn’t recommend this dealer for used cars. Was told they could potentially be touched up but with the amount of chips the bonnet would require a respray which they were not willing to do.

Bought my new car from John Clark in Dundee. I dealt with Kirk and Kaide who were both very attentive and reachable when I had any queries. Everything went to plan with no problems whatsoever.

John Clark Skoda Dundee, what can i say about this place, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!! If i could give zero stars i would. Travelled all the way down from Aberdeen to look at a car, put a deposit down which is more than what was required, exact words were if we were serious enough to buy the car then a larger amount of deposit was required, which we didn't hesitate and put down, only for them to go and sell the car to someone else!!!! When we phoned to tell them when we were coming to collect the car, they then told us that there was a major fault that developed with the car and it was going to auction and it wouldn’t be fair to sell us the car.
On further investigation, the said car has been road taxed, MOT’d and has had a new V5 issued against the car, question is, why would the garage mot the car before going to auction and more so how did it even pass its MOT with a major fault!!! Road tax, only the new owner can do this NOT the garage, so clearly the car has been sold on to someone else, and all this days after we put a deposit down.
Have tried to reclaim my deposit which they say is 100% refundable!! Well this seems to be a lie also, as I've provided the card details that was used to put a deposit down, only for them to now completely blank me with no response!!!
Now going to have to seek legal advice.

First time customer of John Clark Skoda and my first new Skoda. The experience was very smooth and professional, with the sales person able to answer all of our questions about the vehicle, arranged a very low stress test drive and put together a good deal to get us the car that we decided on.

Handover of the new Skoda and taking my existing car in part exchange was another smooth and pleasant transaction and we drove away happy.

We bought our car through John Clark, it was very long winded for a car in stock, it took two or three weeks of chasing people for even a delivery date. Since we got the car they haven’t forwarded any warranty details or the boot badges we were promised, no one replies now we’ve bought the car which I find terrible customer service for a supposedly large main dealer.

Absolutely livid that we were duped into the purchase of a Vauxhall Crosland motor reg LP22 SNV under the proviso that the vehicle was fully serviced and MOT'd for one year. We were home a few days before we started checking everything only to find the car was last serviced in 24th Feb of 2025 and the MOT was until August 22nd 2026. Why were we not told the truth about the vehicle, arrangements to correct this were not put in place and we drove off with a car that was not as stated in the purchase. Further we have not been furbished with a record of previous owners.
John Clark have arranged for an MOT and service but not until the 18th of March whereupon if anything happen in the interim it would leave us liable if it came within the bounds of not being serviced.

Found my car on the website, went through the app asking questions. Received a phonecall about 45 minutes later from the sales team, Stuart jack . Placed a refundable reserve and organised to come to the garage to see the car in the next few days.
Surprised on the size of the place and how efficient the staff were. Was shown the car, even left to look around the car without a sales rep. Test drive felt enough without feeling rushed. After numbers/offer was given, my wife and I were left to discuss it on our own with no pressure.
Was updated on every step, and organised a time to pick up the car that suited me.
Overall I had a good experience, my wife and I would like to use this car garage again in the future.
