Rhys was a very friendly and helpful salesman who understood our needs and explained everything clearly to us.
I recently purchased an ex demonstrator Mazda from the Colchester Mazda dealership. Despite being assured the first year service has been carried out I received an automated email service reminder from Mazda and the "MyMazda" app service record shows the first service overdue. The salesman, Sam Wells, appears to be doing his best to sort this but three weeks later the situation remains and neither Mazda nor John Banks seem unable to resolve the issue. I am concerned the incomplete service record could jeopardise the Mazda warranty especially when using another more local dealer for service.
This situation has totally spoilt the experience of the car purchase.
Hopefully this review will prompt a resolution so I can give the review the car deserves.

I received great customer service from Kymberley at John Banks Ipswich. She was very personable and attentive during the sales process of obtaining my new Honda Jazz. Kymberley was extremely knowledgeable of the Honda Jazz, its specifications and all procedures around the administration and finance processes. I recently purchased a Dacia Spring after not having bought a new car in over twenty years. The dealership provided a clean and organised space, which I found reassuring. The staff took the time to understand my preferences and were patient with my questions, which made the process less overwhelming. Chris was particularly diligent and ensured I never felt rushed, while Melanie helped clarify some technical details.
The ability to test drive the vehicle played an important role in making my decision, as it gave me confidence that the car suited my needs. Trading in my old vehicle also simplified things, and the paperwork being handled online made it more convenient. When I collected the car, it was well-prepared and ready to go.

Been looking for a car locally (I live 80 miles from Bury St Edmunds) for my daughter who needed her first car. She had selected a Swift but could not find the right one. Put an inquiry to find the history of an almost new Swift on the John Banks Website, got a call back from David fairly quickly who answered all my questions and we left it that I would talk to my daughter and give him a call back in a few days. I was delighted (unlike other enquiries made) there was no high-pressure salesmanship. I left a message for David to ring me back 2 days later and received the call back later that day when we arranged for my daughter to test drive a car on the following Saturday.
We arrived at BSE just before the arranged time and as we drew into the carpark David came across, introduced himself and even parked my car for me (a nice touch). The car we were interested in was ready to be test driven and shortly after David took my daughter out on a test drive.
At the end of the test drive David spent a lot of time in the carpark explaining to my daughter the features of the car, time appeared to be no object which, as the dealership was very busy, I was extremely pleased with.
We took a decision to buy the car and then did all the paperwork with David. This was not a tick book exercise David took the time to explain the whole process to my daughter including the reasons (she has a very enquiring mind so again this was another positive). Agreed to collect the following Saturday.
The collection was just as well organised, when we arrived the car was ready and all the final paperwork was prepared. The handover included setting up the Suzuki App on my daughters’ phone as well as going through all the controls of the car and the usual explanation of servicing, warrantee etc.
I would summarise the “Experience” of buying the car as 10/10, many thanks to David and well worth the drive from Bedfordshire to Suffolk.
Finally I would add that on both visits I observed the same attention being given to other customers by the John Banks Staff.
