Grateful for MGLVA
The school is very accommodating to my son's needs and challenges. Teachers are understanding and truly want the students to succeed. MGLVA has many opportunities for students to socialize and interact with each other through in-person as well as virtual events. Very grateful to have an option to utilize virtual school as an option for my son.

From the moment we decided to keep our son home and do schooling at home we knew that Michigan Great Lakes was the BEST choice! The advisors are there to help you along the way with any questions you may have as well as the teachers.

Flexibility for being able to complete coursework and watch lessons later when need be. Fact that can do from home when in person does not work.

Staff help so much and it's not so much the grade it's do they understand what they are learning. Tutors are there and I've never been charged. Just complete support.

Ignorant Staff/Teacher + Lack of Communication = Failed Educational System
A lot of the faculty and staff are very ignorant towards technology for the school to be virtual. They don’t communicate with one another and be behaved dumbfounded when tangible questions and issues arise. Teachers barely replied to student emails, but the students suffered due to all of this. The parents have to figure out what’s true versus the staff and faculties lackluster understanding of their very platform and systems. Overall, a very bad school for students and I highly suggest looking elsewhere for virtual learning. But they do make sure that they communicate effectively when count days around the corner.

My son has been enrolled in Great Lakes Virtual academy for 7 years. The teachers and staff are great. My son is a member of Junior Honor Society. If he has any issue the staff are always ready to help.

Over all it is a good school my Son just graduated from the school this year! My Daughter will start Second grade this year! I just wish there were more events near Traverse City for my youngster to attend but other than that have had a great experience.

The computers are awful
The computers are awful. I has to replacr my daughter's computer 8x this year. She missed alot of days because we had to wait for replacement cpu.
