King’s College Hospital NHS Trust - avoid at all costs! Totally unsafe, poor medical practice.
If Zero stars, or even minus ratings were an option I’d use them about King’s.
This isn’t a hospital it’s a death camp, in 10/23 I had suspected sepsis / vasculitis (both very serious issues)
I went to a&e, and then waited for 13 hours in agony, to be told by some random surgeon at midnight ‘You have about 3 or 4 hours’. I asked, for what? He teplied ‘to live, as your lactate is already 8’. ‘I’m handing you over to the physicians’ (to manage my last hours), the floor was covered in piss, and there were constant violent screaming arguments going on between patients. It was a highly chaotic and profoundly unsafe environment. I still have flashbacks from that. After they admitted me early the next morning to a medical ward, the ‘nurse’ almost perforated my bowel by incorrectly administering medication and then moved quickly to blame me for it.
Now sadly I’m under their ‘care - read torture’ at an outpatient clinic, I need a small simple non invasive surgical procedure. This was decided in late January. They cancelled three times and I finally had the diagnostic test in May and it worked for 4 weeks then faded out over a week). But now it’s worn off completely (unsurprisingly, we knew it would) and I have to wait until the end of October, to even discuss when the permanent procedure can be done. Meanwhile my quality of life is appalling and my mental health is worsening too…
This is not medical care, it’s torture. I’m starting to border on ‘it it worth it to continue?’. The a&e is the absolute worst, but the outpatient clinic is even more scary - they don’t care, and have all the flexibility and compassion of a brick.
