Bespoke under stairs storage
We ordered a bespoke under stairs draws from Kingston to gain control of the shoes.
Dan first came to measure and quote in August and then once confirmed and deposit paid we had someone out to pop a camera behind the stairs to see what they were dealing with.
We were kept informed of install dates.
The job involved two guys coming to knock the understairs wall through and clean all the mess. They then installed the draw. The draw works well and is just what we wanted. The guys were polite and took away all the mess and ensured we were happy before leaving.

Awful - Do not let these people anywhere near your kitchen
Updated - just to reply to Dan’s response. Unsurprisingly he is not telling the truth, and that is what to expect if you commission any work from them.
Kingston Cabinetry were terrible to work with. They were helpful until the point that I’d paid 95 percent of the invoice for my kitchen and 100 percent of the invoices for new bedroom furniture. After that:
-there was a 3 month delay in them even starting the work, with their inability to do or manage any plumbing work leaving me unable to stay in my property for 7 of those weeks
-the work they did took 12 weeks to complete rather than the 1 they promised - again either leaving me unable to stay in the property or having to constantly rearrange my diary to ensure access for their team or random plumbers/electricians. As a result I was left without a hob, electrical sockets, a sink, running water, and use of the washing machine and dishwasher for nearly 3 months
-the work undertaken was of poor quality. I had to really push to get them to redo large chunks of it and they still left me with damaged wardrobes, dents in the cupboards, holes being drilled in the wrong place in the very expensive kitchen worktop, and damage to my wooden floor
-they regularly left the kitchen in a dangerous state, with live electrics left overnight without any warning and wires hanging out of electrical sockets for 7 weeks without them doing anything at all to make them safe
-serious incompetence in relation to plumbing. I had to pay £600 from my own pocket to pay for plumbers to attend 4 times to fix the mess Kingston Cabinetry created. They absolutely do not know what they are doing in relation to plumbing - they bought the wrong parts, didn’t buy enough parts for all the pipework to fit together, glued parts together to make them look like they fitted rather than using the proper parts and seals, and worst of all failed to cap the waste pipe before they built the kitchen cupboards in front of it so as soon as the water was eventually switched on half of it immediately escaped to damage my floor and leak into the flats downstairs. And this was AFTER I’d had several conversations with Kingston Cabinetry about the importance of ensuring the plumbing was done properly so there was no risk of leaking into my flat or into my neighbours’ apartments
-the quality of the work undertaken on the basic cabinet-making (I.e. what is meant to be their core competence) was poor. Holes were drilled in the wrong place as measurements were wrong, the cupboards were misaligned, attachments were not fitted to draws properly, and shelves were not provided.
Dan was an absolute nightmare to work with. He’s utterly incompetent, does not tell the truth, and has no attention to detail whatsoever. If I was as bad at my job as he is at his, or if I treated people the way he treats his customers, I honestly wouldn’t be able to sleep at night. Having to deal with him on this work has made me physically ill, and unfortunately the experience has put me off ever using a small firm ever again. At least with a high street chain there is a head office you can escalate complaints to. With Kingston the only person I could complain to was Dan, and he was the main cause of my complaints!
In addition to the experience of working with them being horrific, the quality of the product is poor and absolutely not worth the overinflated prices they charge. Do yourself a favour and just go somewhere else.

Whilst we are sorry that you feel you did not have a good experience with us, I think it necessary to point out the following facts:
- The initial delay to the work was caused by you.
- Subsequent delays were caused by your constant changing of your requirements.
- You refer to a leak. The leak was something you discovered before we started the work and therefore it clearly could not have been caused by us.
- No plumbing was completed by us of any kind.
- The taphole in the top was installed in the correct place. You insisted on it being moved, which we did, free of charge. We provided you with a top of the range waste disposal unit, also free.
- We supplied you with extra shelving free of charge. None were missing.
- We have not damaged any floors in your property.
- Your furniture is finished in a high quality gloss finish. There was some minor damage when the quartz worktop was installed which we came to site and rectified.
We addressed all of the issues you raised while we were completing the work in your property. I am available to discuss any of these issues with you as I have always been.
Absolutely fantastic start to finish
I had an absolutely brilliant experience with this company having shopped around and tried all of the 'big names'.
None of the 'big names' could offer me a truly bespoke service like Kingston did and the overall experience with them was fantastic start to finish.
I had a site visit with the lovely Dan who walked me through everything, gave me loads of ideas and pricing options. He was not at all pushy, he was more than fair on pricing - I unfortunately cannot say the same for any of the other companies I obtained quotes from.
I then had a site visit from a couple of joiners who again were absolutely lovely and walked me through some of the technical details on site.
Following that, I was kept well informed of progress, work dates, any queries etc. by the lovely Sarah who's customer service was really second to none.
The main thing of course is the work itself which I am absolutely over the moon with. Fantastic quality, gorgeous finish and zero damage caused to my house whilst carrying out works pretty much everywhere. Kingston truly made a daunting and scary experience really enjoyable and seamless.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Kingston far and wide, and I will certainly be back in the future for more works.

We were able to discus the design we envisaged for a hand made media wall and from the first meeting the project was designed and fitted in May this year (2023). Exceptional service and craftsmanship
Both Sarah and Dan were fantastic from the get go. Dan was easy to reach (even at 10pm at night!) and appreciated the detail in which my home office was planned. He provided advice on the height and depth of the desk, and the style also. They listened to my requirements and provided exceptional results - the outcome really speaks for itself.
Having received such great craftmanship and customer experience, I requested their service again to install some understair drawers which look fantastic and blend in seamlessly with the interior decor.

Great company to use
We couldn't have been luckier in finding this fantastic company.
Having moved to a new house we required three bespoke items of furniture, a bookcase/radiator cover, something to put the tv on and a storage/bench unit. (See pictures)
All were made to our own specifications, with great advice and guidance from them, and complimented the other items we already had in each of the three rooms.
The cost was comparable to good quality readymade items but that would not have easily achieved and in all probability practically impossible to get exactly what we wanted.
The initial survey was relaxed, and we felt our views were really heard and taken on board; changes later suggested by us were acted upon and a new updated design sent for approval. Dealing with the office was painless and the team who came to fit the three units were professional, personable, and tidy - what's not to like.
We highly recommend Kingston Cabinetry and would be more than happy to use them again should the need arise.

I absolutely love my new radiator cover, it is a thing of great beauty and fits my requirements exactly, filling a short wall and corner perfectly; it is in itself a stand out piece of furniture.

Pricey, but worth it.
I approached Kingston Cabinetry with a design already in mind, having been to competitors that couldn't satisfy what I was looking for. It's always more challenging when a customer has specific requirements, but the team accommodated me exceptionally well as they worked with me on the design.
The installation team were polite, courteous and incredibly considerate - even taking their lunch in the van so as not to impose, bless them. There were a few minor tweaks required during installation, but the team were communicative, quick to respond and alter the design - always keeping my intended use of the space in mind.
Yes, it was pricey, but the materials used were of a really high quality, and the installation accommodation in itself was worth it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

A really positive experience throughout the whole process. It was a real pleasure liaising with Sarah, Dan and the installation team, they were all very professional and helpful. The new cabinets turned out to be ready and were installed earlier than expected. Our fitted wardrobe is magnificent!
We ordered a large, oak lined, fitted wardrobe from Kingston Cabinetry. The process was great from beginning to end. Dan came over, he was very friendly and helpful, explaining all our options with us. Following this we very quickly received the drawings for our design, and it was great to see it visualised. After a couple of tweaks, the order was placed. The fitters arrived in good time, only a few weeks after the design was agreed. The fitters were great lads, courteous and respectful. Their workmanship was wonderful, they paid so much attention to detail. The finished wardrobe was even more than we'd hoped for. We love it and still can't believe it's ours! We'd highly recommend Kingston Cabinetry to anyone looking for something extra special.
