Terrible experience to date

Terrible experience to date, trying to get broadband installed, first lad hadn't a ladder to reach the cable they had their subbie put onto house. Supposedly down as a high priority and confirmed date, second attempt now cancelled due to "unforseen circumstances" ie couldn't be bothered

Horrific

Horrific, unprofessional staff who haven’t a clue what they’re doing. An idiotic man came to our house and installed our router in the back of our attic. Not in the front hall like the other 8 billion people on the planet have. We queried this and he insisted this was the best place. We literally cannot use Netflix, Disney, a laptop, university programs. We have no internet. We have to use our mobile data. Sky came out to try and help us as we ended up getting their internet, and the installer told us that he worked for KN for 3 years and that the staff are poorly trained and haven’t a clue, which is why he ended up leaving. We rang them and encountered the most “Karen” customer service from a cheeky, abrasive brat of a woman. She couldn’t help us and hadn’t a clue. Worst company in existence. Avoid ah all costs they’re a sham and a scam.

This is the worst company for service

This must be the worst company with the worst communication from engineers and staff alike.
On initial set up I had an engineer attend my house to install Fibre broadband I had been booked in from 9am to 5pm. He arrived at 3:45pm on his own to do a job that was going to take at least 2 hrs. He then proceeded to take out a few tools and look at the job then went on the phone and smoked an e-cigerette walking up and down the road for an hour then said he couldn't do the job until I dug a ditch at the front of the house. This fact was never highlited by the sight survey then said they completed. They eventually came back when I carried out the works. Now I have no broadband again for a week and eir my provider said it's an nbi issue so kn were contacted again and booked for today's date from 12 to 4. There was no show from the engineer so I contacted bookings directly at 4:15 and was informed that they are still down to attend and that she would get the engineer to contact me. At 5:50 there was still no contact or engineer on site so I contacted booking again and the lady said she would contact the engineer to stay on the line. When she came back to me she informed me that that engineer was on his way home without ever contacting me. What a waste of another day and time by me and not even an apology over the phone.

A technician came to install my…

A technician came to install my neighbors. Not sure what he did, but now my internet has been cut off. He says I should call Eir to come and fix a problem that he caused.
I called Eir after he left; a technician will be available in 3 days at least.

Diabolical service

Diabolical service, not a phone call, waiting in all day and I had to call installation crew!!! Told me they won't make it and gave me date for 2 weeks later! I now have to book ANOTHER day off work!! There is obviously not enough people to install fiber!! They finish on a Thursday and home for the weekend meanwhile we're left hanging until they decide to come.... not a good service at all!! Zero zero stars

Zero stars for me

Zero stars for me! Subcontracted by OpenReach/EE and 11 months later still have hole drilled in wrong external wall and a router that falls in a sink, It was that or an ONT flashing lights in my Dad’s face by his bed and the router under the bed (engineer’s advice!!!) Bullied and lied to. OpenReach recommended installing on another wall and KN refused. Still not resolved as they don’t return calls,

Exceptional customer service

While I appreciate I've not had an engineer out to install the equipment for fiber connection.

I can't recommend enough the customer care I've had so far.

Professional detailed prompt friendly accurate ESPECIALLY the lady I was speakinb to on the phone this morning to confirm my appointment.

I hope the engineer follows the same courteous manner

Still waiting 3 months for…

Still waiting 3 months for installation. You call them in advance to confirm an appointment and they say we will call you, they don't. Complete clowns. Also sounds a terrible place the work, the girl who called me back this wednesday sounded like she wanted to end it.

Waiting in all morning for an engineer…

Waiting in all morning for an engineer to arrive between 0800-1200. Received a missed call at 1117 when I did ring them back they told me that their engineer went on sick (on a bank holiday weekend) and they had no cover. Rescheduled for Friday 9 May but we’ll see!

How are these people in business??

I would give this company 0 stars if it was an option. I have been given 2 appointments for installation both between 12pm and 4pm. I had to take days off work for both. The first was cancelled at 3pm. The technician arrived at 6:30pm for the second one on a Friday afternoon and spent 20 minutes at my house. He said his shift finished at 8pm and that he had to drive to Tralee. The work at my house sounded like a 2 person job but he was on his own. My rescheduled appointment is now 3 weeks later.
The one star reviews here are accurate. This company is worse than appalling.

Waiting forever for fibre

Waiting forever for fibre. I got a call last autumn from Imagine regarding fibre broadband which I agreed to get. Between cancellations from Circet due to storm damage (fair enough) to no-shows, here we are six months later and still nothing. Circet has to be the WORST company in Ireland. They could not give a toss about their customers. Even as late as this morning they said they would be here between 8 and 12. At 2pm they sent a message to say they wouldn't make it. NO SHIT!! I knew at 8am they weren't going to show up because THEY NEVER DO...DIABOLICAL COMPANY - ZERO SCORE..

Terrible service

Terrible service. Waiting 3 months.

Waiting on a call. Awhful service. Girl in call centre has to deal with an awful amount of things just because technicians won't advise or leave good notes.

She has helped as much as she can but higher power doesn't give 1 F about the customer. I'm literally looking for a cable to be put in a duct for fibre and I might as well be asking for a kidney. The men on the ground are just useless sparks it seems out for there day rate.

It's 9 months now since we applied

It's 9 months now since we applied for fibre broadband, three rescheduled install dates. Land owners permission has been granted. They just turn up on the road and don't even knock on my door, just leave then I get a reschedule text. We're in Cavan.

Worst company service ever

Worst company service ever

They turn up and want to stop immediately as can't do the amount of jobs they are booked for

The list any amount of excuses why they can't do the job

They text , email the drive by , soft knock on doors just to say they turned up

The make Eir look awful buts it's circet fault .

Eir staff get a bad wrap from Kn, Circet failed installs

Shame on KN, CIRCET

AVoid dealing with them , Save yourself the hassle

Absolutely appalling people

Absolutely appalling people, never met such unpleasant selfish aggressive and inconsiderate people in my entire life. Wth is wrong with them?
Arrived unannounced, proceeded to block the road, prevented customers from getting to businesses, prevented businesses from operating, prevented an ambulance from getting through, the paramedics had to leave the ambulance and walk and when spoken to by anyone were just vile, ignorant and aggressive.

If i could put minus 10 stars I would !!!
We moved into our house in May 2024 and was told that KN would be out to our house the following week.
The van came out and they had their silly little ipads which i dont know what they use it for because they dont seem to be sending any information to their 'office'. Anyways we were told that there was a blockage in one of the ducts and that they needed access to the duct and this was apparently sent to their office and another group of workers would be out to access it the following week. They also told us that we would need the drive to be lifted and the duct to be straightened out and that it would cost a good bit.
We waited a couple of weeks and another group of workers came out and performed the exact task and again told us the same thing and sent this to their office via a report in their ipads, but where was the initial report sent to and why didnt they know ?
We then had an issue where pure telecom told us we had two orders on their system so one would need to cancelled and this is why KN werent able to come out to the house. This was pure bull because the issue is literally the duct. They finally sent out someone in November 2024 to open the man hole and they actually did that and put in another appointment to unblock the duct.
Fast forward to Jan 2025 i think and they came out and told us that we would have fibre installed . We got the internet boxes and we were actually positive that we might get internet finally !!
When they came out a few weeks later they said ...oh no .. the man hole is exposed but there is a block in the duct and we need to expose the drive to get the kink out of the duct. Bear in mind this was told to us on the very first appointment and still it was like they were only finding out then.
To be fair the two of those workers who came out the last time were very nice and they couldn't believe this issue was still going on. One of them was out before the previous June 2024 I think. They actually showed us on the drive where the kink was and they marked it for us so they 'next time' someone comes out they will know where to unblock the kink. We understand that the drive needs to be exposed in the drive and we fully agree to have it done.
We were also told over the last 9ish months that we have cancelled the appointment - which we didnt we both work from home so we need internet and good internet !! We were also told a few weeks ago that we still had two orders on the system and thats why we werent getting anywhere with it. Bear in mind also that we did cancel last summer and we made sure to get email confirmation that this was sorted.
Its a big joke that this company have a monopoly on the internet installation service. They are time wasters and have no idea what they are at or maybe they just dont care !! At this stage now when we are given an installation date we roll our eyes and just laugh because its just a joke. Unfortunately nothing will ever be done and we have just a hotspot for internet.
KN CIRCET should be ashamed of themselves !!!

Major disimprovement in service to its customer

Circet 'technician' arrived last Wednesday 20.03.2025 to swap out a modem. No internet since. Cant get in touch with Eir, four people working from this house all without work since Wednesday due to incompetence of Circet. They have disimproved drastically in the last number of years.

Unprofessional, unreliable

If I could leave 0, I would. I have been waiting months for the installation. The appointment has been rescheduled four times. The first time they outright lied about not being able to reach us. This last time, we finally got someone up here who, within 30 seconds announced, "Can't be done today." There are trees next to the pole, so the ladder won't get up there. Yeah, this is Ireland. There are trees. Plan ahead. Now they want to reschedule for another 3 weeks out. I'm done. Fiberoptic isn't worth the expense, and if this is the way they run their installation, imagine their ongoing customer service.

Good Service overall - Full fibre installation

The full fibre installation was handled exceptionally well by the Engineer - Owen from Circet. The entire process was smooth, with a clear explanation of each step and a well-thought-out plan created. The work area was left clean, reflecting professionalism. Moreover, the engineer's polite behaviour added to the overall positive experience. Good service!
