We had multiple dealings with Cecilia from Lares Tours during our stay in Uruguay. We found her to be friendly, efficient and helpful. Our transfers all went very smoothly and the guides supplied were exceptional.
We had a wonderful 3 week trip travelling around beautiful Uruguay with the help of the Lares team - our itinerary was varied and interesting and always with knowledgeable and friendly guides (and drivers where needed) and we were lucky to spend time with the owners of beautiful vineyards and stay at very special boutique hotels
We particularly appreciated our individual concierge service provided by Cecilia who checked in with us regularly making sure we knew the arrangements for upcoming excursions and was always available to answer any questions that might have arisen or book restaurant reservations at short notice - she was a star!
Paula Perelli arranged a fantastic 11 days for my husband and me all over Uruguay. Every day was an a different adventure we’ll never forget. I made contact with Paula by email after finding her on the internet. She sent me a perfect plan with all the prices, and I paid her in advance by wire transfer. We just completed the tour and enjoyed every moment. I recommend Paula most highly.
A fantastic couple of hours with Paola and Enrique who looked after us brilliantly on a beautiful ride through the countryside and along the beach. Paola picked us up from our hotel and took us to where our ride started which was great.
The horses were wonderful and we learnt lots about the area whilst chatting to Paola. She even took photos as we went along then sent them to us so we can look back at an amazing day. Thank you!
We were blown away by how great our trip to Uruguay was, it was like an unexpected second honeymoon! LARES arranged a two week trip for us (via our travel agency) where we stayed in great hotels with wonderful guided tours in Punta del Este, Montevideo, Carmelo, and Colonia del Sacremento. They made everything super easy (including a car rental and GPS), which was a blessing because our Spanish is terrible!
The part of the trip we were most surprised by was the sunset cruise from Carmelo. We were not expecting it to be a private tour with just the two of us and the captain on a 10m boat! That said, we also loved every other tour we did (vineyards, bars, mate tasting, etc.), and learned a ton from very friendly and knowledgeable guides. We're already thinking about planning another trip to Uruguay and we will absolutely work with LARES again to make it a great one!
PAOLA SHOWED US AN EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE HORSEBACK RIDING URUGUAY ! SHE KNOWS HER COUNTRY EXTREMELY WELL, THE HORSES WERE SPIRITED + VERY WELL CARED FOR + OUR RIDES WERE CARELULLY PLANNED WE VERY MUCH LOOK FORWARD TO RIDING WITH PAOLA AGAIN ! MIKE K
