Part of an employee owned business, London Camera Exchange Colchester is a photographic specialist retailer located in the town center. We provide a comprehensive range of both new and used equipment in-store, and online for home delivery. Part exchange is always welcome if you are looking to upgrade your gear! Above and beyond
Lauren, Alex, James assisted by model Sam paid a visit to our club last night to provide an insight into staged setups, lighting and flash photography.
The night was an outstanding success as the team delivered a superb talk and practical demonstration. Their knowledge and passion for what they do is a credit to the them and they are a credit to the company

Great service and competitive pricing. The best bit about LCE Colchester is the staff, they are knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic. You can visit for advice without any pressure to buy and they are all enthusiastic photographers.

Good quick service
Good quick service. The camera is in good condition overall and I'm pretty happy with it. The only reason I haven't given five stars is that there is a slight dent in the front of the lens which means I can't fit a filter (the thread is distorted). This is a bit disappointing and I feel it should have been mentioned in the description. No problem with the optics, which are excellent.

Amazing customer service
I had such a great experience at this shop today. I went in needing a lead for my camera and wasn’t even sure exactly what I needed. The staff were incredibly kind!
What amazed me was that they ended up giving me the correct lead for free. That level of customer care is so rare to see and it really meant a lot.
They were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely trying to help rather than just make a sale. I’ll definitely be coming back here in the future and would highly recommend this shop to anyone who needs camera advice or equipment.

Lack of good customer care
The one thing I wanted help with was to receive my lens before a big photoshoot. I wanted the delivery for the following Monday or Tuesday (as I would be home). I tried ringing and tried sending a message on Friday Jan 30th for assistance.
On Saturday I rang again. With assurances that the delivery would arrive now on the Tuesday.
Tuesday comes around and I have to chase to know my delivery time. Only to find out, it won't make it in time for the photoshoot.
I was offered empty apologies and sorry, there's nothing we can do.
Over the years I have placed many orders with you're company, now I feel I need to re think that.
BTW, I'm still waiting for my lens to arrive....

Recently, DPD and other courier services have been under increased pressure due to challenging weather conditions. In addition, our Colchester store has been affected by local flooding, which may have made contacting them more difficult than usual.
Despite these challenges, the team did dispatch the lens in time to meet your requirements; unfortunately, the delay occurred while the parcel was with the courier. Please be assured that this is not a regular occurrence, and we are always working closely with our delivery partners to minimise disruptions.

Used lens as described
Used lens as described, arrived well packaged with delivery updates. Delivery delayed by DPD due to snowfall, but they kept me updated and delivered as soon as was practical. Very pleased with my purchase and LC E and DPD service

Excellent knowledge in store
Excellent knowledge in store. I was just starting to consider a new lens as I have limited experience and the gentleman in store was friendly and helpful and i came away sure on what I wanted and purchased on line later.

I used the LCE online "We buy cameras" form to request a price and quickly received a fair quote for my kit. The online team confirmed that Colchester LCE would honour the quote, so I went into the branch to complete the transaction.
