Beware LeakSafe Homes!

This review reflects my opinions of my experience dealing directly with LeakSafe Homes.

This company has a B general contractors license which allows them to perform framing and carpentry only, yet they advertise in the capacity of C-36 plumbing classification contractor and their website shows they do C-36 plumbing work, but the CSLB database doesn't show show they possess a C-36 license.

The CSLB deems contracting out of classification the same as contracting without a license, and requires full disgorgement back to the consumer of ALL monies accepted going back in perpetuity. See the far below Statute and precedent.

Their public CSLB listing shows they have verified under penalty of perjury that they have no employees and are exempt from workers compensation insurance, yet their website and their social media postings evidences they have employees.

Consumers are advised to never enter into any contract with any contractor who has employees who aren't covered by workers compensation insurance as required by law, and to review their own homeowners liability policy if an uninsured employee files a claim against you if they get inured on a job at your home. DEMAND a copy of their valid liability and workers comp policies.

I also have screen capture photos of those purporting to post rave reviews of LeakSafe Homes. One is very positive review from a woman who identifies as "Jessica Lavian" and she thanks LeakSafe Homes for the great plumbing installation they did for her home. What she fails to mention in her gushing review is her full last name is "Jessica Lavian-Biton" and she is the wife of Shlomi Biton, the owner of LeakSafe Homes. I have screencap proof.

Another reply to the exposing of this firm said: "What a pathetic attempt to discredit, they did great by me..."

That defensive response came from a "Shlomi Biton", and it fails to mention he is the owner of LeakSafe Homes. And yes, I have that screencap proof.

Another glowing review that was exposed was a person claiming LeakSafe Homes did a beautiful full bathroom remodel, and the shill invited viewers to check out the posted before ands after photos. The only problem was the photos belonged to a remodeling company in the midwest. When that reviewer was confronted over that issue, they claimed the before and after photos they posted of LeakSafe Home's work at their condo only represented their dream ideas. Right! I have all the screencaps of that too.

One shows a photo of a MoenFlo whole home leak detection device ostensibly installed at the reviewer's home, yet the photo was traced back to a Home Depot website and someone else's review of the product, not LeakSafe.

Numerous other glowing online reviews show a similar pattern of questionable review origins.

LeakSafe also posts photos showing what appears to be their employees (they claim they do not have) performing water damage resolution, but the photos in fact belong to a completely different company in the midwest and it came from the midwest company's website.

When these issues were posted to LeakSafe Homes Nextdoor profile, the abusive retaliation was swift. It included multiple private messages perceived as threatening physical violence. One was a photo of a bullseye, followed with "I got your full name, address and where you work", then "see you soon" and another said: "Your clock stated ticking today Joy" (I have all the screencaps).

When the posted screencap evidence became overwhelming, LeakSafe Homes changed their Nextdoor listing company name to the name of the reviewer adding "Inc" and Karen" to it
then they changed it again to " Lama Lama" and then changed their license # to an invalid #.

When the evidence against Leaksafe Homes became overwhelming, they were reported to Nextdoor who canceled their user profiles.

I strongly advise all consumers to avoid LeakSafe Homes, and if they did plumbing work for you, to file a complaint with CSLB demanding full disgorgement of all monies you paid them pursuant to California Business and Professions Code §7031(b). The controlling cases are: MW Erectors Inc. v. Niederhauser Ornamental & Metal Works Co. and Hydrotech Systems Ltd. v. Oasis Waterpark
