Complete lack of upfront transparency and extreme application delays

LegitScript expects you to pay heavy, non-refundable fees blindly. I feel like they should have told us exactly what was required before taking our money and starting the process. Instead, you pay thousands of dollars upfront, only to be hit with extreme application delays and zero clear communication on what is actually needed to pass. They take advantage of their monopoly on ad platforms to trap businesses in a slow, expensive bottleneck. Providing upfront guidelines before demanding payment is basic business ethics, and their current system is completely unacceptable.

Legit scripts is a scam that you are…

Legit scripts is a scam that you are required to pay thousands of dollars a year if you want to advertise a practice that treats opioid addicts. Everyone agrees that opioid addiction is a pandemic, yet in order to make your practice known, you must spend thousands of dollars a year and even then, you’ll pay it, and Google algorithms still block you. It is an absolute scam to make money, and make the public think that if someone is certified then they must be legit. When in fact the only thing that makes them legit is that they are willing to pay the ridiculous fees. There is no screening. You pay, you get certified and can advertise, sometimes. You don’t pay, you aren’t certified and can’t advertise, ever. As a practitioner that wants to help those addicted to opioids, Google denies that ability by requiring an unfair tax, yet twist it into an idea that they are looking out for the public. They don’t even know what we do. Complete scam. All while allowing every other industry to scam you as if they can’t stop it.

I paid thousands of dollars to…

I paid thousands of dollars to LegitScript, including an additional fee for an expedited review that I was told would take two weeks. I applied in July and did not receive a decision until October—only to be denied because of my affiliation with a research peptide business.

My telehealth company is a separate legal entity and is not commingled with my research peptide company. If that affiliation makes an applicant ineligible regardless of the separation between the businesses, that restriction should be clearly disclosed before collecting substantial, nonrefundable fees.

I understand that paying for a review does not guarantee certification. But paying for an expedited service should mean receiving the service within the stated timeframe, or receiving a clear explanation and an appropriate refund when that timeframe is not met.

I am requesting management review of my application, an explanation of the specific affiliation policy used to deny it, and clarification of where that restriction was disclosed before payment.

I am seeking either a fair reconsideration with a concrete opportunity to address any correctable concerns, or a refund if my business affiliation made certification unavailable from the outset. At a minimum, I am requesting a refund of the expedited fee because the stated two-week timeframe was not met.

This experience has left me deeply disappointed in the transparency and value of the process. I welcome a substantive response from LegitScript and a fair resolution.

Do not buy products or services from…

Do not buy products or services from Legitscript. They are overpriced and provide little to no value. Furthermore, Legitscript does not have law enforcement authority, yet it frequently pressures domain registrars to take action against domain names. This kind of conduct is deeply concerning and, in my opinion, goes far beyond what a private company should be doing.

Complete scam

Complete scam. Only exists to charge for a “certification”. Hasn’t completed a review of my primary care telemedicine platform in >3 months. Just wants to take my money.

Formal complaint - Ji (Junior Policy Analyst)

Extremely disappointing experience.

The outcome seemed to depend more on which certification analyst handled your case than on the consistent application of policy. In my experience, Ji (Junior Policy & Certification Monitoring Analyst) repeatedly copied and pasted policy statements but was unable to explain how they applied to our specific website or identify the exact wording that allegedly breached the regulations.

Even more frustrating, I found multiple UK healthcare providers that appear to hold LegitScript certification while publishing educational content about retatrutide, yet LegitScript insisted that any mention of retatrutide site wide made certification impossible for our business. When asked to explain the difference, no clear answer was provided.

Legit Script is a private

Legit Script is a private, non-governmental company with no law enforcement authority. It has no legal right to demand that a registrar take action against a domain name or registrant.I would advise registrars to carefully verify any demands made by Legit Script and understand their limited role before taking action.

Legit Script is one of the worst…

Legit Script is one of the worst companies to deal with. You can only email them and it takes forever to get a response back. All these telehealths popping up just get certified and then runs ads for grey market peptides and they shouldn't be certified. Its a legit scam that acts like government agency that isn't.

LegitScript is "verifying" or "approving" SCAM telehealth companies and SCAM pharmacies

I just learned what LegitScript is, and I'm not even a little surprised that they are a non-governmental and non-medical private entity looking to profit in any way possible.

I'm not a provider or prescriber.... I'M JUST A CONSUMER who was stupid enough to order a GLP-1 from altRx, who named LegitScript as the agency that "approved" their mystery substance they are selling to innocent people.

I have since gotten my money back from my bank, after beginning a fraud investigation of altRx. (still ongoing)

LegitScript is making it WAY TOO EASY for fraudulent companies to sell their NON-FDA-APPROVED mystery substances.

legitscript is nothing but greedy and…

legitscript is nothing but greedy and focused on extorting money from others. They make big promises but deliver absolutely nothing of value. In fact, working with them could even harm your brand instead of helping it. They are dishonest, unprofessional, and only care about taking your money. Do yourself a favor—don’t do business with this company.

Legitscript is just a small commercial company, not a government agency. They offer certificates that don’t really provide any value or credibility. Don’t waste your time or money on something that doesn’t do what it claims.

Legitscript’s approach is completely…

Legitscript’s approach is completely one-sided and unprofessional. They only harass registrars and refuse to engage directly with website owners to resolve issues. Their tactic seems to rely solely on leaving negative reviews to intimidate registrars. Is this really the only method they have? Do they have any legitimate or fair means to handle disputes? This kind of behavior feels more like bullying than a genuine effort to find solutions.

Is LegitScript Legit in any way?

I tried to look up one telehealth company and it said I'd exceeded my searches for the week...on my first search ever. The logo looks nice on the telehealth sites, but I can't figure out these rigorous certifying standards they claim to have for their seal of approval, with "unmatched accuracy."

They’ve got you over a barrel

They’ve got you over a barrel. I’m not allowed to advertise my solo practice addiction practice unless I spend thousands each year on Legit Scripts. Even with their certification, my ads would still get blocked. I’m a Board Certified physician and I have a tech company deciding if my practice is legit. It’s nothing but a worthless money grab.

Fake Government Imposter

This is small limited liability is pretending to be an official government agency and are trying to impose the law upon companies such as Namecheap, when they are not such.

Only real government agencies have a .gov domain, etc.

They are inflicting financial damage on companies such as the DEA, FBI, and CIA's largest investment into the enforcement of the illegal trafficking of narcotics.
