Scottish Friendly aren't
when they owe you money.
30yrs of giving them money and when you claim they "obfuscate" for months and months and months making (non-contractual) up reasons NOT to pay.
Further to previous correspondence.3 policies over 60 years old transferred from Canada Life now in deficit over 4 years whereas other similar policies with other companies all recording yearly gains.
Accumulated dividends up 7 to 10% over 4 years.
Death benefits all down over 4% over 4 years.
Cash in all flat.
Ombudsman should investigate.
Why is it so hard to get your hard-earned money from Scottish Friendly? Why is the paperwork sent 2nd class telling you they have received the request, and the cheque supposedly sent 1st class is nowhere to be seen?
When you call, you get two different dates for when the cheques were supposed to be sent out - now over a week- and no cheque has arrived.
People work so hard for their money. We are living in the cost of living—yet when you request your own money, it doesn't turn up, and when you call, you get told different stories of when the cheque was supposed to go out. It's so stressful dealing with this company.
If the cheque hasn't been dispatched, please inform me and provide a clear timeline for when it will be sent, rather than repeating the same story.
This constant back-and-forth is not only frustrating but also erodes my trust in your company.
Child Bond matured and following the policy documents sent in to Scottish friendly along with bank account details we were assured that payment would be made. My daughter is 21 years old and out of work. The money is much needed buy it still hasn't been paid into her account. The company seems to be very reluctant to pay what is my daughters money to her. Next stop is the ombudsman
