Awful experience
I've had an utterly miserable experience with Limo Hire London. I initially tried to book a Pink limo through pink-limo.co.uk but quickly realised after phoning the number that it was just this company. You'd think booking a pink limo a month in advance from a company that supposedly deals exclusively with pink limo's would be easy right? Wrong!
I was told during making the booking that the Pink Limo (singular...) was 'in the garage' and 'may or may not be ready' for our booking. This was already a bit of a red flag, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt as I was assured that if the Pink Limo was not repaired in time, I would be booked into a white limo, with a Pink interior and complimentary champagne as it was a birthday party. I had to hand over a deposit over the phone, with no receipt or booking reference to confirm anything, despite being told on numerous occasions that 'they'd send it through'. I called multiple times and each time, the guy who did my booking 'Shane' was either busy or on lunch. Several times I was told he would give me a call back. He never did. It got to the point where I tried to call and he had gone on annual leave and no one had any proper information about the booking. None of them could give me any information about the 'broken pink limo'.
The big day arrives and my Limo driver gets in touch with me. To my disappointment he had turned up in a dilapidated, dirty black limo. I had booked a Pink-Limo, with a contingency white limo as backup - with champagne and a pink interior. Aside from the Limo being awful it was extremely embarrassing knowing my friends were now sharing in this train-wreck of an experience, having been under the impression we'd be getting in a white limo with champagne.
There was one bottle of warm champagne in the Limo, which the driver told me he'd give to me on the house even though we hadn't booked any champagne. We had, and I explained that, but he was oblivious to any of the promises made to me by the booking agents.
Inside the limo, nothing really worked. We tried to play music but the CD player broke within minutes of using, and the driver threw an AUX cable at us and told us to try that. The electronics system was dead, so nothing worked. After complaining the driver blamed us and said it usual works so it's not his problem. So we had warm-champagne, no-music and no working electronics.
After arriving at our destination, I duly paid the driver the rest of the money. It's a good thing I had written down how much I supposedly owed, as he didn't seem to know and I'm sure he would've tried charging more.
What should've been a fun, enjoyable experience ended up being terrible and humiliating. When you pay for a service, you expect to at least get the colour of the limo you ordered. I was sold a train of false promises from the beginning, and they are clearly manipulating the whole show behind closed doors. I will never again deal with this business, nor will I recommend it to others.
