I bought a mattress topper, which was promoted as keeping the bed cool. I hoped it would help with my hip pain. The topper came well within the timescale given, is of really high quality, and I began to use it in the really hot weather we have had recently. And, bang on, I have stayed cool sleeping on it. I love it and would really recommend it. And, it's made in Yorkshire. What's not to like.

One of the two sheets has an elastic edging that is so tight that it is almost impossible to place it over the mattress. The other sheet is acceptable.

Dad bought himself an adjustable bed and went for a small double - mattress is small double but long 200cm rather than 190cm standard length. He also has a dislike of polycotton sheets, likes pure cotton! What does that mean? You can't get fitted sheets, mattress protectors or toppers for this size of bed in 100% cotton (nor polycotton) from most of your expected shops and online retailers!

We tried another online company - In Dreams - for sheets as they did this size. Ordered 400 thread count with satin stripe from In Dreams but received plain sheets something more akin to IKEA's cheapest cotton sheets - 100 to 150 thread count. Quality wasn't great at all, but very cheap, so they were sent back.

What to do as needed sheets quickly for bed arriving?

That left Linen Cupboard and Victoria Linen. Both looked good.

On balance, the prices at Linen Cupboard were just a little more competitive and there were clearance items that might suit. Also free P&P for orders above £80. There have been three orders for Dad so far! The first order for a couple of 200 thread count cotton percale fitted sheets and a pure cotton mattress protector were such a resounding success that two orders followed - one for another cotton fitted sheet and one brushed cotton fitted sheet. This third order was for a mattress topper - luckily the right size in clearance so a great price - as Dad finding his medium firm mattress just slightly too firm. This topper has made his bed so comfortable that he sleeps so soundly that he wakes up later than usual! He says the topper is lush!

Lovely website, easy to search/filter for what you want, great range of products of great quality. Easy to order and pay, often discounts available and very fast dispatch via tracked services. I'm sure that further orders will be placed with this company - I can see Dad looking for maybe one or two more brushed cotton sheets for cooler months! Dad's very happy so I'm happy.

I purchased 2 oversized pillow cases and was very glad to be supporting a UK company. They arrived within a few days. I needed them because my pillows felt constricted by pillow protectors and then normal sized cases. Now I feel like I’m getting the best out of them and the cases feel good quality. Other than this company I couldn’t find anyone else who sold oversized but not king sized cases. You have a niche there. And they are easy care fabric so very little ironing to do. Very pleased with these.

I ordered a long pillow. The pillow took a month to arrive, though I ordered to London. The pillow was also half-empty, so doesn't work well as a body pillow

Excellent customer service from Selena over two or three weeks. Items ordered sequentially and all received in the time frame quoted.
King-size pillows and liners - great.
Fitted sheets and pillowcases (400thread count) - washed fine at 40 degrees BUT very difficult to iron after tumbling to ‘iron dry’ setting, so soaked the pillowcases again before ironing straight from the spin drier; quite a lot better although very slow. I hope these are easier with time!!
Only put first self/striped sheet for first time yesterday so don’t know but it has a much softer handle so🤞.

Wasn’t sure about products but after placing order both duvets and bedding were dispatched immediately and upon inspection I am delighted with my 1st few night sleep in comfort. All materials felt great!
