After 24 years of ownership, we had been trying to sell our five Wyndham timeshare off-and-on for five years with multiple entities advertising fast and promised results. We were recently victims of a bait-and-switch scam perpetrated by one Real Estate agent in Florida "specializing" in time share resales, chosen because they were the only ones to offer to sell all of our timeshares as a block to a large group acquiring more properties at the time. The group that was to buy the properties took advantage of a clause in the contract that allowed selective timing for sales and cherry-picked the three easier-to-sell ones leaving us with the two harder-to-sell ones. That cost us a two-year extension of our maintenance fees and led us to find Lonestar. Lonestar's reputation was stellar and their process was simple, easy to understand and efficient. The communication about progress on our ownership termination was clear and timely. After the initial enrollment, we had nothing else we needed to do except be patient. It would have been better, however, for Lonestar to extend the range of possible durations for the full process. The estimate we received was for 12- to 16- or even 20-weeks. It took 41 weeks from engagement to completion and registration/filing of the transferred deeds. Despite the delay, the service was excellent. At the usual rate of increases for the annual maintenance fees and taxes, we have a three-year break-even time for the cost of the service. That is entirely reasonable considering the inconveniences and costs we no longer have to deal with. We recommend their service highly.

I truly didn’t know what to expect when I began this process to remove the timeshare from my life. The representatives at Lonestar were so helpful. Step by step all of the way through. I have to admit, I did not know how long it would take for me to be rid of the timeshare. I actually got a little scared a few months into it thinking I was scammed and I made a mistake. We had good communication throughout the process. Lonestar kept us informed all along the way. It's well worth it to get out of paying the excessive dues for years to come. This will be the first year we don't have pay the HOA dues in January. What a relief! Thank you Lonestar.

My process started on February 16, 2024, and ended on August 15, 2024. We have been engaged with Lonestar for over 16 months now. I get emails saying we are close to closing. It hasn't happened yet. Lonestar has fulfilled their portion of the agreement in that they did pay our maintenance fee for 2024. They continue to share with me that they are working to fulfill their commitment. We gave them a substantial amount of money but no results yet. If that changes I will update this.

They did exactly what they said they would for the price quoted. Very organized, great communication. Expectations were exceeded. We were able to get out of one of our properties 6 months before the expected date, which meant no fees for the following year!
